@Bonnie: Oh yes, it's not that I don't like the style at all, but I was expecting more for those types of items. Absolutely no shade on those who brought them to us though. We're all going to find items we feel pretty meh about lol.
@Totalanimefan: I'll keep harassing him until he answers. xD I'll have to remember to check out that band. I don't listen to as much Japanese music as I used to, but would like to get back into it. I also want to watch a lot more anime this year, including newer series. Last year I went to the con with my siblings, which I would happily take again, but would be nice to go with friends too. I kiiiinda want to take my son along and cosplay as Sophie and Markl from Howl's Moving Castle since I think he'd make an adorable Markl. I just don't think he'd tolerate the events too much with him being so young and his autistic tendencies.
@Totalanimefan: I remember at the start of the pandemic there was this meme of Godzilla being passed around describing how kids would behave during the pandemic and their nature for spreading germs. xD It was gold. I know that at least 1 of my siblings wants to go (I'm the oldest of 5) but am waiting for the answer of 1 more, as the other 2 don't want to go. Hope you get to enjoy some international artists this year too! I should see when the cons are this year too...I believe the biggest one in Jacksonville is in October.
@Totalanimefan: Kids definitely know how to spread stuff lol. I'm not mad about it though. Just boosts our immune systems. Glad your oxygen levels haven't suffered too badly. The one I'm going to in a couple weeks is in St. Augustine, and it's Three Days Grace, Black Veil Brides, Ice Nine Kills, and Motionless in White. The one in Tampa is Coheed and Cambria and Dance Gavin Dance. I've always wanted to see the latter band live, but the first is a nice treat since I like a lot of their songs, especially their latest single. I've been to Tampa for concerts before, which is where I first saw Ice Nine Kills. That's when it was in Ybor City, which is when I discovered they have street chickens. xD
@Totalanimefan: That makes sense, and at least you know where you probably got it from. We think my son brought it home from school since he was the first to show symptoms. That sucks that you're still having trouble sleeping, but glad you have something to help out at least. Do you/have you had shortness of breath? I ask because of the stairs. I'm so glad we didn't experience that symptom because we also have stairs leading up to our front door, which is just one flight, but still. Hope the weather is nice for your events. I may look into tickets for the Symphony for sometime later this year. I've got a concert I'm going to in a couple weeks and I'm hella excited for it. And I've got another I'm want to go to in July that's in Tampa, so going to buy tickets for that soon before they get sold out like they did for the venue here in town. I'm not too salty about that since I do love the Tampa area. Just waiting to hear from my siblings to see if they want to go before I get the tickets.
@Totalanimefan: Oh man, well I definitely hope you can get some rest tonight. I was very grateful for the nighttime Mucinex when I had it, because that knocked me right out and I swear I've never slept so well. xD NyQuil would probably do the same if I tried it. And I know what you mean--unless you have a big house, kind of impossible to keep everyone from getting sick. All 3 of us got it when we had it, but we have a 2bd/2ba that's less than 1k square feet, so you do the math. xP Both of those events sound really fun! I enjoy the idea of going to an orchestra in general. There's a group here called the Jacksonville Symphony I've always been wanting to try out. Would give me an excuse to dress up, which I love doing but hardly have an occasion to do so. And outdoor festivals area always fun assuming the weather wants to cooperate.
@Totalanimefan: That's what it was like for me when I had covid in late January, different symptoms every day. The waiting to test negative was annoying because of my job being so essential as I was. We made it work so I didn't have to request any sick days, but man, wouldn't want to do that again. I hope you can go to your event!!
@Bonnie: Yeah usually the orbs are always amazing, but I remember being quite disappointed with the ones that had the different fashions from different decades. Too many of the poses felt like items that should be commons, but maybe that's just me. As for food, I love finding cheap but good street tacos. I hate when restaurants charge like $3 a taco, which is just highway robbery. I remember trying PF Chang's for the first time, and I was soooo disgusted with it. I ordered steamed rice as part of my order, and I swear theirs tasted like instant rice? Like, you're supposed to be "fancy" Chinese, and you're charging me all this money for garbage quality. Never went back, and never will.

@Alorrena: Fair enough on the cow tongue lol. I love chewy textures when it comes to proteins, but I know for some it can be tiring. xD And that's a good idea to look at the menu for the Brazilian steakhouse. I'm sorry that Tucano's left you disappointed, but hopefully it doesn't deter you from going again. I hate when good things are taken off the menu as well. One of my favorite chain restaurants in the area here keeps changing its menu where it seems they take away the good stuff and hike up the prices for what they keep. I remember being so salty when they changed the contents of their chirashi don, which is essentially a sushi bowl. Used to have a large assortment of fish on top of the rice, but then one day we ordered it and they had maybe 5 different kinds? Total letdown. We've learned now to ask what "assortment" of fish is offered for dishes like that, because for all we know, "assortment" means 3 kinds. And I know exactly where you're talking about for the connector part of Boise since that's the route we took anytime we went downtown lol. I miss the parks over there, save for the goose poop. xP My son is 4! Also regarding hot springs, we used to love going to the one in Idaho City, which they just called The Springs. We loved getting couple's massages and sipping on wine while enjoying the spring lol.

@Wildfire: My weekend was good. Not very productive, but it was nice to relax and enjoy good food lol. How's your week been?

@Totalanimefan: Ohnoes!! I'm sorry you got the 'rona too. D; Hope you guys have a speedy recovery!
@Bonnie: I love finding new places to try, but I have no problem going out of my way for food I know is good too lol. I'm looking forward to seeing what the new crates will be. I didn't quite care for the last set, but I bought one of each just in case. I adored the orb items though. <3
@Bonnie: Oh man, I'm guilty of spending way too much money on both food and clothes. xD I really need to do another purge of my closet before I bother buying more clothes. Maybe I'll do that throughout the week, and then go donate next weekend...

Ahh, well let's hope it's a safe storm season for both of us!!
@Bonnie: Just kinda sucks when you wake up starving, but don't have the energy or time to get food. xP My weekend has been good. Mostly been lazy, but got out of the house here and there. Got this cute tank top with a manatee printed on it today, from an art fair thing. Will probably wear it next weekend when I'm off again and go out somewhere. Assuming the weather is decent lol. It's the beginning of storm season in Florida.

@GoblinsAndTea: No worries--I'm not as active on here as I'd like to be. You're welcome though. <3

I know it'll take some time to accept she's not there anymore, but you take all the time you need. The mementos you'll get of her sound very sweet and at least she'll always be with you. <3
@Bonnie: I've slept through meals before. Not the best thing, I know, but it happens lol.

@Alorrena: Yeah, peanut isn't subtle in any way lol. And I think it may have been that Golden Dragon in Caldwell, not sure. My fiance has wanted to try this Brazilian steakhouse in our area, but I declined at first because I knew it would be expensive. But maybe I should try it anyway just to say I did. Caramelized pineapple sounds delicious! I don't think it's odd for you to try chicken hearts. My favorite proteins for street tacos are cow head and cow tongue lol. Honestly if you didn't know what it was, it all tastes like beef. I think I vaguely remember seeing that glass blowing place you're talking about in Boise, and I'll have to try to remember that next time we're in the area. Though we'd probably have to find a sitter for our son since he'd probably be too young for the class lol.

@Wildfire: You're welcome. :) I'm doing fine. Been relaxing this weekend before I go back to work tomorrow. How about you?

@Totalanimefan: I've been doing well overall. Sorry your husband tested positive, and hope you don't end up getting it. But if you do, at least you'll both have it at the same time? That was my silver lining when I had Covid--both my fiance and son got it as well lol. So only had to worry about sticking together versus isolating in different rooms. xP
@Bonnie: Thank you! I'm doing well. Just hungry, but waiting to hear from fiance what he wants to do for dinner. xP Hoping he lets me know soon. How about you?
