@Totalanimefan: I've never had a Whole Foods gift card (just Publix or Winn Dixie) but I'd be hella excited for one of those! I especially love Nutella in crepes. *q*

I'm super hungry now, but waiting for fiance to get home to see what he's eating. Sometimes he brings food home from work for me/us since he's a chef. I have leftover spaghetti if he doesn't bring anything though lol.
@Totalanimefan: True, like I told you earlier, I tend to spend a lot on food. xD I love the rare chance that I get grocery gift cards lol. But you're right, I hate reading a list of ingredients I can't even pronounce or know what they're for without looking it up. My weakness is things with palm oil (or vegetable oil) because I know that industry is responsible for the endangerment of orangutans and other animals. Like I freakin' love Nutella, but the other alternatives I find in stores all have palm oil too!

Yes, let's hope it's a pretty mild storm season. ;A;
@Totalanimefan: Too true lol. And yes, I saw that about France! I believe New Zealand also started that ban a few years ago.

lol @ puns. Glad you were able to find some produce, even if I know it was more expensive because it's Whole Foods. xP I love their baked goods and it's kinda hard to have some self-control in that section. xD Yeah someone told me we're supposed to have more named storms this year and I told them we better not! We've paid our dues! 3 evacuations within the last 6 years, no more!!
@Totalanimefan: No worries lol. Yeah, I loathe socks and sandals. xDD I also wish companies were banned from using single-use wrapping, or at least the kind that's not really biodegradable. I need to be better about bringing our shopping totes.

Wow, I like how some of those missing ingredients you'll need to cook them to enjoy them. What if your power goes out? No Denver omelet for you! xD; I really hate it when people panic buy stuff though. I keep meaning to restock our emergency stash of bottled water. Should look over an emergency kit really, even though we're not expecting any major storms for the next few months.

I feel like there's a good mix of small businesses and chain businesses around here. Only problem is everything is so far apart. xD

I don't know if I'd have the patience to make 'cheat' mochi considering how sticky it can turn out lol. But not saying I'd be totally opposed to learning it. I forgot that I had matcha mochi ice cream from one of my favorite ramen places up the street! Super delicious lol. I think I forget it exists because I tend to fill up on their dumplings, ramen, and boba tea. xD
@SorrowTheMad: The illegal-ness of driving with snow on your vehicle makes a lot of sense, and that sounds really scary to have that as a potential hazard while driving! When driving, we try to keep our distance from larger trucks that can kick up rocks, even the ones with mud flaps behind their tires, since I swear those do next to nothing. Having to get your cracked windshield repaired from a stray rock wasn't fun for us since our eyesight safety feature had to be recalibrated twice to function properly. I see people driving with cracked windshields all the time and it makes me hella nervous! Our repairs were free with our insurance, thankfully.

I hate how Covid has killed good businesses too, which is why I have no problem spending a little too much on food if it's small business lol.

Let's see, one of the best mochi I've ever had was from my third grade teacher who made hers with toasted coconut on top. I don't think hers was quite the traditional way of making it, but it had similar texture at least. I've tried packaged mango and matcha mochi (separate flavors in the same box) but they weren't that great. I'm sure they'd have been much better fresh. I think my favorite packaged mochi I've had so far is this sesame one, although I can find this one in local stores. And I love me some mochi ice cream, which I see is becoming more popular and easy to find in stores.

@blue: You're welcome, and you're right that it's good to set your boundaries!

Wow, that last thought is so profound yet so true! Hard for the other person to care as much when they never did when the relationship was "good". And even if they did ever apologize, I can't say I'd ever forgive or forget them. I wouldn't say I'd hold a grudge, but I feel like it's okay not to forgive someone since we don't owe anyone anything they couldn't give back.
@Wildfire: Were you able to make your crockpot dinner today? And pretty rug! <3 Looks great!

@Koah: I don't do a ton of things in our crockpot, but luckily I'm almost never disappointed with what comes out. xD Not that I'm not open to trying new things, just haven't gotten that far. Hope your hormones get back to your normal soon! I expect next week will be challenging for me in that regard.
@Totalanimefan: I'm the same way with socks and sandals. Like...you're wearing shoes that purposely allow your feet to breathe better, but you have socks too???

It also doesn't make sense that they don't recycle considering the local grocery stores have their own recycling bins. Mind you, they can only hold so much at a time, but still, they make it happen! Unless it's all just a facade and they dump it in the end, which they better not!!

Yeeeah, I'd hope that the day it snows, I wouldn't have to go anywhere and can stay home safe and adequately stocked with the essentials. xD But if I had to, there's a grocery store and a Target within walking distance from me.

@Totalanimefan: It would be nice to have mandatory classes like that for future parents. It amazes me that all you have to do is have a kid, sign some papers, pay the bill, and live your (hopefully) happy life. Like I just brought a new life into this world...shouldn't things like that be a more serious concept? But heck, even for kids that are already here and remediation services for their parents who did something wrong, they're already short staffed in that area, so I'm sure there's a shortage of pre-parenting prep staff too (even without the pandemic).
@Totalanimefan: Oh man, it makes me laugh to see people in hoodies and shorts here, especially short shorts. Like, how are you not still cold? xD

I definitely wish we would take climate change more seriously. It really peeves me that none of the apartments I've lived the last several years recycle. Like, this is literally a rich neighborhood, and you're telling me you can't afford the facilities to do so? Using that logic, my new title is the Queen of England!

I'd definitely enjoy the snow as it was falling. Too bad some people here would think it's Armageddon. xD

@Totalanimefan: Right? Like even if you know you don't want or like kids, at least learn about them, so you know they're not being little shits on purpose. xDD

@Totalanimefan: Makes sense to learn the science behind it too. I think learning child psychology was the most interesting for me. Once I learned that younger children don't know how to not be selfish because of the way their brains develop, it was like a huge lightbulb went off and everything made sense lol.
