@Another Movie Addict: Oh that's right, and good to know! Guess if there are any people who wear their suits outside of cons around here, I just keep missing them lol. Saw some really neat suits at my last con, including one with six legs, which was badass! Should have asked to take a picture.
@Totalanimefan: lol I don't mind talking about my parents. I'm the oldest of five kids, the youngest of which is 15. My parents are in their mid to late 50s, so again, they won't need much care until 20+ years from now, although I've worked with adults about their age due to various health issues. They currently live in my late grandparents' house, which is paid off and their names are now on the legal documents. But the house needs lots of work, which they're trying to rebuild after my dad gets a job hopefully sometime next year. They want to give the house to us kids someday so we always have somewhere to live in case we fall on hard times. So unless my parents decide to change their mind for whatever reason, or my siblings and I all agree to sell the house, probably gonna keep the house lol.

I can't say I've ever seen furries outside of cons, but to be fair, if you live in Florida, I can't blame them lol. The heat and humidity here is no joke!

The local NFL team has a mascot that wears a suit and I always wonder how he manages to survive in the thing since he's dressed in it pre-game to pump up the fans, and I'm sure he wears it well after the game. We have an outdoor stadium, not a dome, so there's no climate control for us!
Totalanimefan:

@Aisukohi: that sounds like so much fun. Is there anything like that around you?
There is a big farmers market near me and I like to go. There are a ton of stands but my fav is one that makes breakfast sandwiches. Best I ever had!
Yeah normally condos are like that but there might be some that aren’t.
Oh I see. Do you like planning to make this house the forever house instead of like a starter home and then moving when you need something bigger?

Sorry for the late reply lol. I tend to disappear without warning. xD

As for the large food market, I'm not aware of any near me, but that's not to say there aren't. I've heard of a farmer's market that's closer to town supposedly open 7 days a week, so been meaning to check it out if it's true.

I'm torn on the housing question. On the one hand, I'd like to go ahead and purchase a permanent home, but on the other, I want to have room for my parents to move in whenever they start needing more care. Hopefully they won't need that for many more years, at least until my child(ren) are grown, but since I work in healthcare with the elderly, I'm mentally preparing myself for the day that comes. Elderly care is SO expensive, regardless of how you do it. I'm not sure if I'd ever want to put my parents in a long term care facility if I can help it, not only because I doubt I can afford it, but also not sure if I could trust anywhere to care for them lol. But I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Tomorrow I'm working. Sunday I'd like to finish Christmas shopping, but at the same time, I don't feel like dealing with weekend crowds trying to do the same, so might wait until Monday when I'm off as well. If I end up staying home, I'll most likely be a couch potato catching up on shows, even though I should really do some cleaning.
@Totalanimefan: One of the things on my bucket list is to visit a huge food market area where I could get street food and/or fresh food lol. I'd just walk around eating a little of everything. xD Funny you mention condos, because for a brief moment I considered buying a condo or town house instead, but then I remembered that they tend to have strict pet policies, and well, I want a mini zoo one day. xD Nothing too fancy, but don't tell me I can't have 3 cats and 4 dogs, for example lol. The 4 bedrooms are for my fiance and myself in the master, one for our son, one for another future child (whenever they may come), and the last is a guest bedroom. Although if we have a third child, obviously they'll take the last room, and then if we have company, we'll make the kids share. xD We'll probably call it good with 2 kids if our next is a girl, but if it's a boy, we'll see how we feel about one more when the time comes. Definitely not shooting for 4 though haha.

@sunny: Hope you feel better soon!

@Ark: I might see if I can find videos to see how others use resin to make jewelry so I can get ideas. But thank you for your kind words. <3 We're thankful we had time to prepare for her leaving us versus finding her gone and that she went away alone. So it was hard, but we were all there for each other in her final moments.
@Totalanimefan: Right? Bottom line, if you were stupid enough to storm the castle or had any plan in it, violence or not, you should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

One of these days I'll try grocery shopping at a farmer's market closer to downtown lol.

I'm hoping for a 4 bedroom and at least 2 bathroom house, preferably single floor with no stairs anywhere. Location, anywhere not in a flood or hurricane evacuation zone while still being somewhat close to my parents. There are a lot of new housing developments that fit that bill, but they're cookie cutter houses that hardly have any space between neighbors and tend to have HOAs. We don't want HOAs since we feel like they're largely a scam. If you're going to tell me how to keep my lawn, then YOU need to keep it well kept for me.

@Totalanimefan: Could I please buy the Unique Playful Pigtails if they're still available?
@Yae meiji: sorry for the late response, but I sent the trade. :)
@Totalanimefan: You're totally right in trying to cram everything in because we haven't seen loved ones in so long lol. I knew it would be a lot from the get-go, but I agreed because I never wanted anyone to say they were bored, or didn't get to do xyz.

Yeah, I understand court in general is a slow process, but part of me is like, "Okay, clearly they're guilty, why haven't they been sentenced yet?" Do stupid things, win stupid prizes, I say. But our justice system is fabulous, as you know. *cough* But yeah, definitely gonna wait out the housing situation, and groceries are indeed expensive. I wish our more affordable food venues weren't so far out of our way, otherwise I'd go there instead of the grocery store we normally go to.

Gonna call it a night, so this conversation is to be continued lol. Hope you get some rest and feel better soon!
@Totalanimefan: Sounds like a lot of traveling indeed! That was my entire vacation as well back in August when my fiance's family came down to see us. xD We live in the Jacksonville area, but we went down to Orlando for the first few days they were here, then came home for a few days, but did day trips to St. Augustine and Savannah, and finally spent the last couple days they were here back in Orlando. Oh and we made a day trip to Tampa while we were in the Orlando area as well. xP So I felt like I needed a vacation from my vacation when all was said and done!

OMG yes on all those points you made!! I'm tired of hearing about the January 6th garbage, and I'm straight up not having a good time with the rising price of goods and inflated housing market. Was going to try to buy a house earlier this year, but I'm not about to pay 50k over asking price for a house, all in cash, by the way, overnight and without even doing an inspection. Because apparently that's how you buy a house nowadays. -table flip- BuT tHe InTeReSt RaTeS aRe So LoW! Nah, man, that's a huge investment that I'm gonna take my time with.

Perhaps you should talk to your boyfriend about his remarks. Not really fair to judge on sentimental value, whether he understands their value to you or not. Happened with an ex of mine once where I told him I liked avatar sites, and he scoffed and more or less mocked me for it. So I told him how upsetting his response was, and asked him point blank what difference was it for me to like them when he played an MMORPG online, complete with customizable character. To that, he had no response other than to feel like shit, so much that he joined one of my preferred sites at the time without me even asking him to. Just saying, perhaps your boyfriend doesn't realize he was too quick to speak his opinion, and maybe you can gently put it into perspective for him.

Anyway, I think for me, it would be my phone and my jewelry. My phone because I have so many pictures on it of my family, and even though I do eventually back them up onto an external hard drive, I like to look back on them from time to time when I want to reminisce or want a pick-me-up. My jewelry, because even though none of them have a high dollar value, the pieces I'm thinking of all come from someone I love so much. There are some pieces I've lost over the years due to my own stupidity, which I'm still salty about. But I feel like everyone who wears jewelry eventually ends up losing something of value to them? I may end up passing some pieces to my child(ren) depending on how they feel about them when they're old enough.

I have a tooth from my late hedgehog that I kept after we had it removed from her mouth. Long story short, she needed to cross the rainbow bridge because she had mouth cancer. I'd like to take that tiny tooth and turn it into some form of jewelry (probably using resin) but not sure what shape and design I want yet.
