Uh, I was interviewed by the person I technically replaced, because my then-boss was on vacation when they were hiring lol. Honestly, I don't really count that as an interview because I felt like I was asking most of the questions. Granted, it was for an entry-level job, but still kinda silly how it all happened. The lady who interviewed me was on her way out the door, but I didn't know any of this until after I was hired. It all worked out though, because I'm now in my then-boss's position.

I've conducted interviews over the years, and a bunch of the silly stuff is just people not having common sense when it comes to interviews. We'd ask about job history, and some people would admit that they were let go for xyz reason that was a big red flag. I can understand being let go because the company cut jobs, but don't say you had a "disagreement" with management. Don't say you just up and quit one day. I can't trust someone who admits to that, because if they did it once, they'll do it again. Other times, we're in the hiring process, and we tell them there's a drug test involved. Common sense would dictate that you KNOW if you have drugs in your system, and what you'd be flagged for, so you'd KNOW if you would pass or not. Nah, fam, lots of people told us AFTER they done wasted a cup to tell us they had done coke, weed, etc. Though those situations aren't really silly--they're just plain dumb and aggravating.
I love that current/older airship items can be traded in RRR with volts for new items. The trouble is, the recipes call for 1 of each airship item, and here a lot of us are sitting with a boatload of them. xD

SO perhaps make more items to use more of these? Maybe weapons for each team that cost, I dunno, 3 of each of the items. (Example: 3 Sound Bush + 3 Sound Wild Horns + 3 Sound Swimwear + 5000 volts = new Sound weapon). Other possible new items could be banners or flags celebrating your team pride, gloves, armor, wings... Numbers can be played with, but just an idea. Also, the seasonal alpaca and seal items in RRR are cute, so how about more seasonal plushes, or perhaps slippers or scarves, that can be made by using the original airship items plus other items?

I just love recycling items I have in bulk for new items, so there's my idea for the use of older items.

Thanks so much for the new items, and they look great!

@goth: I'll take your word for it lol. I think when Twitter was taking off, the gist I got from it was "this is a place to post about every second of my life" as if people should care, and I said nope. As for IG, I have a hard enough time taking pictures in general (I live too much in the moment to stop and do so) so it wouldn't suit me, I don't think. I've enjoyed scrolling through Tumblr over the years to look at art as well. I never had my own account, though.

I'm thinking anywhere from 15-20k for that item is fair.

Large roaches make me behave like you just did--freak out and go in the other room until I know it's dead. I personally couldn't keep my composure like you did, so kudos to you! I have too many childhood memories of them crawling up my legs, and even though I know they're mostly harmless, they still freak me out. Some "native" Floridian woman tried telling me that roaches don't fly, and I didn't have the energy to argue that she was dead wrong. Maybe some species don't fly, but that's not true for all. Also, I can't stand the sound of one being squished. I freak the heck out, cover my ears, and do a dance as I hum to myself to block out the noise. I know that sounds childish, but I literally can't, and it gets me all sorts of anxious when I know it's coming.

@goth: I hope it continues as well! I never used Twitter or IG, so no loss for me personally, lol. Only social media I use is Facebook. I have a Discord, but I pretty much just use it for chatting.

And I completely forgot about that item. :o It's a good one to have!

@goth: Yep, maybe one day some of the older users with sick inventories will come back lol. I've noticed the forums have become more active here, which is great!

@goth: I've also been looking for the Porcelain Doll orb item, which luckily seems more common than the Beanie Doll. But it's still hard to find lol. It's okay though.

I also tend to lean toward darker avis, personally. I try cutesy, but they don't last long when I make them. xD

Breathing exercises like the ones mentioned above help me, and listening to my favorite music, which can range anywhere from very calming to very "angry" lol. Venting helps me too, especially if I'm allowed to cuss, because I have a mouth. :x

One mantra that helps me get through tough situations is reminding myself that if others have been through it, I can get through it. One way or another, I have to push through it. Usually the experience turns out not as bad as I thought I would, so that helps me too. I remind myself that it won't kill me, whatever it is, and that I'll be okay in the end, even if it's not the perfect experience. Helped me get through being in the hospital while having my son. I was eerily calm through it all, and part of me wonders if I was being apathetic or going through some other mental something or other. For reference, I'm just over 100 pounds soaking wet, and my son was born 9 pounds 7 ounces. C-section of course, but yeah, I was surprised how calm I was knowing what was coming.

@goth: lol yeah, the Ryou is something on my quest list, but honestly it'll probably be one of the last things I ever quest, if I get to that point. I've been on the hunt for a Beanie Doll for years, but I've yet to see one for sale. ^^; Been thinking those with one in their possession either aren't active anymore or don't wish to part with theirs, ever, lol. I prefer my avis non-human and creature-y, so textured skins and mods are a favorite of mine.

@goth: Ah, well I can tell you the most expensive dragon item here is Ryou the Dragon, which I believe goes for 100k+ volts, but I could be wrong on the value. It's a charged orb item. I do know it's hella expensive though. You might enjoy the Year of the Dragon, which is also a charged orb item. I think you'd also enjoy the Olden Wings, which is an event item, and I don't think they're that expensive if you can find a seller. Nice new avi! And thanks for the compliment on my shop lol.

@goth: Ah, well we have a lot of items that fit your quests. Off the top of my head, I think the most affordable dragon item we have is the Summer Dragon event item that came out a few years ago, but finding a seller is key. Though I'm not sure if you're looking for a certain dragon look (e.g. East vs. West). As for mythology, a bunch of the crate items are probably your best bet. Harvest Deity fits Greek mythology, I think. Then you have the Egyptian ones from Doggo of Death and Feline of Fertility (that last one, I still need to collect). Lots of possibilities...

I thought about updating the layout of my shop. I think it could look nicer, but not necessarily over the top. Plus I might have a few items to add or take off. Nothing fancy, just little items here and there.

@goth: Any items you're looking for in particular, or just browsing? And I know the feeling. I was pretty overwhelmed with all the threads when I first joined Voltra, but now it's pretty easy for me. I should really update my Exchange thread since it's been a minute lol.
Posted in a wild goth appears Posted 10 months ago
@goth: No problem! If anything, you can always ask a seller how much they're willing to let go of something for, or make an offer in the dark. I think overall, people are pretty nice here, so they won't bite your head off if you don't offer enough. Me personally, if I don't know how much something is worth, I say it up front lol.

@goth: I'm not sure how often the Price Guide is updated since I personally hardly ever use it. I imagine it's depending on the active-ness of the OP, and they don't look very active, I guess.

I've noticed on avi sites, Price Guides are generally made by someone in the userbase, not by official staff, to avoid liability to the staff. I remember that's how it was done on Ernya--multiple users seemed to update that thread.
