I haven't heard that word, but if it's on the site, it seems like maybe they were trying to be inclusive and didn't realize the meaning has changed (I think that's what you're saying)? You could just send them a message and update them on the use. They may genuinely not know. I mean, I consider myself trans/nonbinary and I never heard it before so...maybe it's not that common? Or maybe it's just me. I dunno.

I collect them for the art. There's a black cat set I really want to buy that I keep forgetting about... My favorites that I own are a Vampyr tarot deck.

We have one and I went there exactly one time. Blech. They didn't cook the hashbrowns and the grilled cheese was no better than what I can make at home. And it was so nasty in there! The tables were covered in grease. All the signage was so outdated they still had posters saying "no smoking." Our state outlawed smoking in public restaurants a decade ago!

I have so many...

Fatal Frame is probably the best series if you want to be scared to death. lol

I love the Resident Evil series and I'm really excited for the RE2 remake with the Leon Kennedy figure. He's my favorite character from the series!

I like the concept of Silent Hill better than the execution. Same with Alan Wake, which is about a writer on a retreat with his wife, who goes missing. You pick up pages of his manuscript as you go, and they piece together a story...but it's not a requirement that you get them all, which is just dumb.

Parasite Eve is a classic. Amazing soundtrack, too.

Martian Gothic is pretty cool, if you like science fiction horror.

The worst I've played is a Korean game called "White Day." The characters are just so cutesie you can't even take it seriously...

I have one called Rule of Rose for PS2 that's hard to find and very valuable. The price has come down but after it was featured in a video game article about rarities, the cost had jumped to $400 on eBay. I didn't like it so I wish I'd sold it. lol It's about children abusing each other and that's just ick.

Another great favorite is Shadow of Destiny (AKA Shadow of Memory). It's about a German man who must solve his own murder by traveling through time to find out who killed him and why. It's absolutely amazing. I have it on PS2 and PSP.

I have a lot more so if I think about it, I'll post more later.
Make some recommendations for everyone!

I just watched "The Ritual" on Netflix, about a group of hikers who get lost in the woods. I got bored the first time I tried to watch it, but went back and finished it this weekend. It wasn't great but it was neat and different from the usual. Good for fans of Norse mythology and Michael Crichton's "Eaters of the Dead." Really wasn't expecting that...

I also saw a sort of unique one on Netflix about a female cop who is left to guard the station all by herself. I can't remember what it was called but it was a disturbing movie about the ghost of a serial killer and his cult members haunting the jailhouse. They had killed the cop's father a decade prior, so they had it out for her. I wouldn't watch it again but it was unlike anything I've seen before.

Now I'm watching a cool series on Netflix called "The Haunted," where "real people" tell their personal haunting stories. I don't really believe in ghosts but I like that it's set up like people are confessing their ghost stories to their friends and families and getting emotional about their experiences, rather than just a scripted narration.

Probably the hardest question ever asked. lol I'd be hard-pressed to narrow down my favorite albums to 10...but here are some I definitely love listening to over and over again:

"Elegantly Wasted" by INXS
"Never Tear Us Apart" by INXS
"You Learn" by Alanis Morissette
"Great Mass in C Minor" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
"Queen of the Night Aria" by Mozart
"Cesse La Pluie" by Anggun
"Si Loin de Vous" by Nâdiya
"Shadow of the Day" by Linkin Park
"See U Later" by BlackPink
"Woman, Woman" by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap

P.S. @MoonEevee: I love your taste in music!

I saw the first episode and I really loved it! I haven't had time to watch any more. Gosh, it's just adorable. The characters are so cute! I don't really care about the dragon stuff but I love any human/elf conflict. I love the fantasy genre and it's not often enough the topic reaches beyond books to film and animation, which is ridiculous because our technology today is amazing! I definitely want to watch more.

Hm... I think that might be entertaining briefly, but I couldn't watch something like that, season after season. I think it would make a better hour and a half sci fi movie than a reality show...because who cares about online popularity. lol Fame is fleeting.

The only reality show I've really ever enjoyed is The Bachelor/Bachelorette. (But I hate Bachelor in Paradise.) I like rooting for people to fall in love. lol
This world is going to hell in a handbasket... I know it's not the best tactic but I've been burying my head in the sand for the last two years, hoping to weather the storm. But I really don't know if things will get better at all... Such a bleak outlook.

I saw a Chinese news report recently that was far worse than this, though. People are being 24/7 surveilled by the government in at least some large cities, and issued credit points based on their behavior. If you buy alcohol, you lose "good citizen points." You gain points if you buy baby food. Etc. Etc. And those points actually impact your life. If you have a low or even negative score, you get blacklisted at restaurants, by credit card companies, by apartment landlords. It actually affects your value as a human being and once you've lost too many points, you may as well be homeless. You can't get a job or rent an apartment or buy a car... They watch everything you do and monitor everything you buy. Some people like it because it makes them feel safe, but...to me that whole concept is horrifying.

I skipped the movie and the book. lol I love Pride and Prejudice, and I love zombies...but the combination just didn't appeal to me. And from what I've heard, yeah, I really haven't missed much.

I did pick up a book where Darcy and Elizabeth are both gay and in love with other people. I haven't read it yet but I thought that sounded pretty interesting. haha

@Another Movie Addict:
@Shark:

Thank you both! I totally forgot I made this thread but I added you anyway. Now I know where you're from. hahaha Right now I'm mostly reading comic books because I pledged to read 200 books this year, and have wound up working 14 hours a day so my reading time is very limited...

@vengeance: Ah, okay. I can see that. It has been a very long time since I saw that movie... Back in the day I bought everything on VCD. The quality was low but they were super, super cheap.

Did you guys hear DramaFever just folded? I'm ticked off because just this past August they charged me a full year's subscription fee. Then, without warning, this month they shut down completely. They deleted all their social media accounts and everything. I have opened a PayPal dispute but I'm not sure it will go anywhere. It wasn't expensive but...it's the principal of the thing!

@Mousy: That's a pet peeve of mine, too. I read another series where all the books were first person, past tense, but the last book was present tense and for just one single section, not even a full chapter, it switched to the villain's POV because something had to be explained while the main character was unconscious. I just thought, 'That wouldn't have happened if you'd kept it third person like all the rest!' It made no sense. That's just dumb. I have a friend talking about doing a POV-switching novel and I'm just like...it's your book, but I recommend strongly against it. lol!
