"I don't know what the hell it was, but an avalanche of rocks, and yeah. I got caught under it." She tiold him.

"I think the Fallen got hit by a few good rocks or boulders too, which is why they took off. I think. It's a guess, if nothing else."

"I think it's plateaued." Ashleigh answered.

"I just have nigh on not fuckin' energy to do anything, and suffice to say - it sucks." She added after a few seconds.

"So I'mma be useless, I'm sure. For however long."

"Yeah. That's what he said, at the very least." Ashleigh confirmed with a nod.

"If nothing else, it's nothing that HE Knows of." She added with a sigh.

"And I'm not sure what to make of that, either."

Ashleigh didn't say anything for a moment or two.

"... it wasn't." She admitted.

"It took all I had to use my mana to get him to fuck off." She continued. "But, it's also confusing. I'm wondering if he infected me with something."

"I'm good for the moment." Ashleigh answered.

"How're you holding up with all that's going on?" She asked.

"Rene filled me in."

Ashleigh just chuckled, but it did devolve into a sigh.

"I know. There isn't much that can survive my body temp. It's weird that something is, and is raising my temperature, even. Nothing extreme, but still." She commented.

"as for a drink, that'd be fantastic." She then said. [b]"Some of that vitamin water, if there is any, would be fantastic.

Sure enough, Ashleigh was able to head home a few days later, and it was Lindsay who had picked her up, due to Ash being at Lux to connect with Cass, and to ask her to keep an eye out for Casey, as well.

"Ugh. I feel miserable." Ashleigh admitted as she sank onto the couch after they'd gotten back to the house.

"Any idea when ASh'll be back?"

Anna didn't say anything for a few sseconds. She didn't really ave anything to say before just laughing lightly, ominously.

"I'm bailing before I kill you." was all she said before vanishing in a twist of vines, leaving a dark and far more ominous and oppressive echo of her for a few seconds.

While Ash knew that echo couldn't hurt huim, the fact that it remained did say more than her words did about what her mental state was.

Anna was silent for a moment before looking at Ash. It wasn't hard to tell that she was more than willing to throw down with Ash right then and there, but was biting it back.

"Ashleigh will survive." She told him.

"The physical injuries have been dressed and tended to."

Anna didn't say anything more, nodded, and just headed off. She wasn't going to linger, not with that twitch. She wasn't going to linger at Ash's too, if she could avoid it.

She grabbed her stuff and headed out, used her mana to get to Ash's, and made her way up to the door, knocking. It was rather forceful and constant. That twitch was becoming more apparent now that she wasn't at work, and it was taking all she had to keep it from getting worse, or more apparent.

"Ugh. I can just text him." she muttered as she stepped pounding on the door.

"If nothing else, at least there is THAT." Anna commented.

"Now, do you need me?" She asked.

"Because I can feel an internal twitch, and I know that if I don't bail within the next few minutes, there will be blood shed." She added, making it quite apparent what the twitch was.

"I can stop by the Fyrane's and let Ash know, if you'd like."

"Yup." His cousin said from where she was near him. She didn't hear him, but she saw the look on his face, his posture.

she knew him well enough to guess what it was that was going through his head.

"Nothing else to do."

The dark skinned woman was silent, still. At first check, she didn't even seem to be breathing. However, when his panic started to take over more, and he checked more closely, desperate to find that she was alive, he did, in fact, find that.

She had a heartbeat, although it was weak, and her shallow breaths were easy to miss, but he noticed them.

Ashleigh was alive, but who knew how long that would remain as it stood?

"I figured." Casey commented.

"I set an alarm." She added with a light chuckle as she took her seat and did as needed, again.

The landing went well, and it didn't take long before they'd parted ways. Casey, of course, had no idea where she was going, or what she was doing, so she just stepped into a bathroom, made sure her glamour was on and everything, before picking a random direction, and starting to walk.
