"centibus parasitica ignis" was Rowena's response. Vincent just paused a moment, before thinking about it as he shifted and got comfy.

"I... that's something that I have not heard of for... countless generations." He commented.

"Why do you bring it up?" He then asked.

"Becuase that's what was killing Kelly, and most likely hit Ashleigh too." was Rowena's answer

Good timing. Come climb into the tub with me. Let's actually do it this time. was the response that Vincent received. If he listened close, he could hear, barely, the jets running above him.

Rowena just finished stripping down after replying to the text, and climbed into the tub. When she felt the water was still a bit chilly, it was definitely easy enough for her to warm it up, considering the fact that she was a fire mage. All she could do, really, was hope that he'd join her for themoment though. She didn't know if he had anything else he was going to be doing.

And she was reasonably certain that he'd want answers.

"All right, as far as I'm aware." Ashleigh answered before sighing and just breathing a ball of fire toward the fireplace, causing the kindling in there to ignite.

"I admit, haven't seen either for a bit, but that's nothing unsual." She added.

"I've been stuck down here for the most part, after all."

"I hate being cold." Ashleigh commented.

"I'm part reptile. Really not nice for me." she added after a moment or two.

"But thank you. Hopefully you get an answer as to why soon. Or I do." She added after a moment or two, thinking.

"Although while I'm cold now, I do feel more... alive? I guess?"

"Duly noted. Thank you." Rowena said before sighing lightly.

"Anyway, I'm going to head home." She then said. "try and have that soak I was trying to have when Ash came and told me what was going on." She then gave rene a quick hug.

"thanks." She said simply.

"Precisely." Rowena answered.

"And I'm going to see if vincent can get me in contact with any of the publishers he knows to get SOMETHING out there, some sort of literature, about this damned thing." She added.

"since it seems it's not just a concern for the past."

"Keep an eye on her, and her temperature, while a bit high, should NOT reach those levels again." Rowena told him honestly.

"However, at the same time, I can't say for certain. Most of my knowledge is pertaining to actual dragons, or to humans." She continued. "Neither of which she really is. Not fully, anyway."

"regardless, give her a couple of days, and she should wake."

Rene was out there for about five minutes before Rowena opened the door.

"You won't cook if you come in, now." She toldhim honestly. When he stepped inside, he saw that the bed was a little singed, it was quite warm in there, but it wasn't unbearable.

And Kelly's temperature was a little higher than her norm, but not life threatening as it had been.

Rowena was silent as she tossed some fire over to the bed, causing it to ignite - but not spread. It, in essence, turned the room into an oven, but a bit of a more gradual temperature increase like that would be far better for Kelly than a sudden increase that then induced shock.

"Get out of the room while I get her temperature up. Unless you want to become Casey's dinner." She told him simply, from where she was.

The heat didn't bother her, after all.

Rowena stayed back and out of Rene's way, knowing that there would be a decent chance of something going wrong, but really did hope that this would go well. However, there was no way for her to know, what would happened. She knew that with the reptilian elements to Kelly's genetics... well, it could cause this to kill her.

Rowena had absolutely no idea, but she did know that the fact that Kelly seemed to be completely unresponsive to the temperature change, even with it being so drastic, was definitely not helping.

"Oh come on Kelly... don't give in." She said quietly, wondering if she'd arrived too late.

"Better you do it than I do." Rowena answered.

"And this is the safer option." She added after a moment or two.

"The other option is to basically set her blood ablaze, literally. Not... not sure she'd survive that."

"Depends on temperature." Rowena answered.

"However, basic rule of thumb that I've stuck with, and was passed down by my mom, and so one... hit hypothermia, and wait another fifteen." She told him.

"Obviously, here, she should be fine, but that was extremely dangerous in the past."

"I'm a Fyrane, and I have a sister I used to collect plenty of plants and shit for." Rowena commented.

"Did you know you can find rock root in the wild? Hard to come by, especially now with all the deforestation, but it is still there." She added.

"They love it in nature too. Which is probably how Ashleigh brought one home, if I'm guessing."She paused a moment before shrugging.

"And Lindsay's had a few times from his forays into the deepest parts of the unknown. Usually just need to kill him for him to be good though."

"It's a parasite, so really hard for someone else to catch it." Rowena told him honestly.

"Not sure on how to 'catch' it initially though. I assume it's something to do with being in proximity and it coming to you." She added.

"If you check her blood under a microscope, you'd have a hard time seeing them too, as they duplicate quickly - that's what is causing her temperature to flare so badly - and are the exact same consistency as blood as well. They can mimic it so perfectly." She told him with a sigh.

"However, take a sample, put it on a slide and freeze it? it'll turn black. When the blood thaws again, or in Kelly's case, reaches her ridiculous natural temperature, then it'll dissolve into the blood. She'll feel like shit for eh, a week, but it'd be like having a brutal flu."
