Sure enough, Ash didn't get an answer. Casey just looked over to Ash as he hung up, frustrated.

"Nothing?" She asked.

"Nada." was his answer.

"I'll go check if she's even alive, You know that I can do THAT at the very least. She commented as she got to her feet.

"Give me all of five minutes. At least I can find out if she's still alive,. Probably a rough idea for location too."

"I'll go to Kiah. She's good with glamours, and the best I know." Casey commented before just shaking her head.

"I don't know what to do here." She admitted.

"This... This is going to cause so many problesms. Are you two going to be able to handle life alone? It's going to be you two and Ashleigh here, I think. That's all."

Casey didn't say anything for a couple of minutes before just sighing, again.

"I'd probably take up Rowena's, or Vincent's life, years ago" She answered.

"By that I mean... I'd go nomadic." She added.

"I know wherever I go would be meaning trouble for there, if I stayed too long, after all. So ... yeah. I'd just go nomadic, I think."

Casey was silent for a moment before sighing, heavily, resting her head on her hand, and elbow on the table.

"This is a cluster fuck of a situation, and part of me thinks I should just fuck off for while." She admitted.

"And spare me my pessimistic attitude bullshit. I mean it. I'm probably going to be a target, I bridge the gap between the realms Far better than any other decromancer, and for that matter, I can go to any of the realms, while most can't." She continued.

"I would not be surprised if the Fallen end up wanting me, to get the TO heaven."

"You and me both, if I'm honest." Casey admitted.

"I don't know what it is that we can really Do about this, either." She added after a few seconds.

"Aside from .. Just... Just stay on the defensive, I suppose."

"Sammy, are all right?" Casey asked, her voice concerned. The blonde was silent, not saying anything,

".... Oh I doubt it." Sammy answered honestly.

"I'm going to my room. I'll see you later. I'll probably fuck off to the vampire' later." Was the last thing she said before leaving the room, and heading upstairs.

Sammy was silent as Ash said all he did.

"Excuse me?" She asked.

"Are you meaning to say that god... is gone?" She asked, trying to keep her voice level. There was definitely something there, and it was something that wasn't too hard to miss. All three could hear it clear as day.

She was internalizing possible fear, concern, and everything else.

Sure enough, Casey did have a few words for Ahs when she returned, but in the end it amounted to a thank you.

The four of them ate, enjoyed the sushi, before Sammy got to her feet.

"Aight, well, I've had my fill. I'm going to go and wind down on the roof."

"Which is definitely fun." Sammy commented.

"Anyway, I'm gonna go have a shwoer." She said as she got to her feet.

"Don't eat all the sushi. Make suer to leave some for me if it shows up before I'mback." She stated calmly as she got to her feet. With that, she was gone, heading off to do as she needed to.

"It was. Until Dad tripped and ended up literally dusting me with his ashes." Sammy commented as she made her way to one of the chairs in the den and just dropping into it.

"Seriously. I'm going to be coughing up 'essence of dad' for weeks." She added.

"What happened to cause THAT to happen?" Ash asked.

"He mis-stepped, vine took him up by his ankle like in a damned movie, and then ... did you know we've got a nest of acid hornets out in those woods?" She asked in a seemingly nonsequitor. It wasn't hard to figure out the connection though.

Sure enough, Sammy reached home first, laughing as she walked in the door.

"You're a sack of dust, Dad!" She called outside before making her way inside, obviously in a good mood.

"Hey Uncle Ash, I'm back. Not sure when that bag of dust is gonna follow." she called into the house as she kicked off her shoes.

"Well, I CAN do it. I've done it before." Casey commented.

"However, I also know that the one time I DID do it, I took out the power for the entire block." She added after a few seconds.

"I'd much rather not do that again." She finished, with a heavy sigh.

"Anyway, I'll be back." she then said before heading to the door.

Casey nodded.

"Can do." She said.

"I'll be back soon as I can." She added before pausing.

"You need anything before I head out?" She asked

"I certainly hope so too." Casey agreed with a heavy sigh.

"Anyway, I put the order in." She said. A"nd it's a monster order for the five of us."

"Seriously. Ran me more than I expected, but under what I had available. No worries on that." She told him after a moment or two.

"Now, I'm going to head out and grab some ice cream and whatnot." She added with a sigh. "Want me to grab a tub for you too?"
