"Yes. She is. Not in the best of shapes, but K got her doctor friend in to check in on her and such." She told him.

"Want to come downstairs and see Emelie?" She then asked.

He was left alone for a bit before someone walked in. Her darker skin and her ridiculously dark red hair made her stand out, especially with her almost vampiric red eyes.

"Yo." She greeted with a wave before motioning for him to follow her. She led him off to another room, out of anywhere that someone could find them easily.

"Here." She said as she held her hand, and wrist, out to him.

"I can't do anything about it, being what I am." When Ash looked, he saw the halo that was there.

"Also, That was removed from Emelie."

Ashleigh was silent for a moment.

"Well, then... I guess you should get going." She said after a moment.

"I hope things are all right there, if nothing else." She then said.

"But go. Do what you need to." She added.

"Let me know if something serious happened though, hey?"

"What's up?" Ashleigh asked as she looked over, having been getting a drink.

"Didn't expect you to be up." She admitted. "You ok?' There was definite concern to her voice, as well.

"Your brother is in his office, trying not to freak out as Casey's been silent for a few days."

Vae was silent.

"... Son of a bitch." She said quietly as she got to her feet.

"I'm going to get that damned halo off of her before there is irreparable damage done." She then said.

"And then I'll answer the questions that I'm sure you'll have." She added before heading off. She unlocked the door and vanished within. A matter of two minutesor so, if that, later, the corruption beacame far more concentrated. And then Vae returned, not locking the door.

"She'll be fine." She stated before looking to Kaia.

"You're bounty hunter cousin. Can I get his number?" She asked.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. Here. He's in my contacts as AJ." the vampire said before tossing the phone over to Vae, who caught it.

"Thanks." She said simply before finding 'AJ' and calling him as she walked off for some privacy.

"No. I'm not Kaia. Yes. This is her phone. No. You do not know me. I daresay you need to come sing to take care of this ring." She said. Yes, there was a lot of information, and yes, there was some crypticness there, but she was sure that he could figure it out.

"At the Theatre." She added.

"I can meet you upstairs and fill you in."

"That's fair." She commented.

"And would be good anyway. Just so we can at least handle ourselves ---" She started before pausing.

"Handle yourself? What, you planning on going off and fucking some other lady while I'm not around K?" A new voice asked.

"Huh? Oh, Hey Vae." Kaia greeted with a wave.

"And no. Talkin' to Rene about combat and shit." She answered.

"Huh. Fair. Y'all should learn to fight in one way or another. Agreed." Vae agreed with a nod as she dropped her ass onto the couch before pausing.

"all right, tell me." She started, looking around slightly.

"What the hell is with the corruption I feel in the air?"

"Oh, I would love for each of us to be skilled in SOMETHING combat related." Kaia answered honestly.

"Sometimes we've got fight scenes, and no one knows exactly what is 'right' or whatever." She continued.

"So it'd be nice to have someone who knows. We can't always get someone in that is skilled in wahtever we need, to help."

"Oh, it's completely true." Kaia commented.

"Piss Kaori off, and ... well...." She paused a moment, shivering slightly, "You'll turn into a popsicle. almost literally." She added.

"Vae's a succubus, Kaori's a Yuki-Onna, I'm a vamp, Jun is a Yaksha and Paul is a lycan." She told him.

"All of us are ... pretty avoidant when it comes to fights. We COULD hold our own, but we'd largely be acting off of instincts, not inteligence or some shit." She added.

"s... probably best not to rely on that, if I'm honest."

Kaia nodded as she took a seat on the counter with her own mug.

"feel free to dress your drink up however you wish." She commented.

"And yeah, that might b ea good idea. As you said, no idea what to expect. Vae's a lover, not a fighter, none of us - well maybe Paul - can fight too well, to be candid." She added.

"Not gonna lie, it's a bit scary, if I'm honest."

"All we can do, sadly, is wait to see how she is if, and when, she wakes... and wait for Vae to get back and see hat she knows." Kaia told him as she got him a mug of fresh coffee.

"Ah, you've mentioned it a few times, so I guess you can't wait to find out, but Vae is short for Vaeri. She's ... ehhh, she's a succubus." She told him honestly.

"And if something is affecting Emelie in such a way, maybe someone from the other side can offer some insight?"

Kaia was silent for a moment, listening to Rene. She remained silent for a couple seconds afterwards before sighing.

"Meaning, if she had her godly state at the moment, we'd be back to having a vengeful god, huh?" She asked,

"That... really does not bode well. Not at all." She added. "Hopefully Vae can help with information as to how the hell Emelie ended up like this, since I'm sure she'll know something.'

Kaia just sighed, heavily.

"I know." She said.

"The door is locked, and only Vae and I have a key." She said.

"So she'll be locked in there." She added.

"What were th weird readings?" She then asked, her voice curious, concerned.

"Look. I doubt there is anything that anyone can do for the moment. Vae will be back in... fuck, twenty minutes? She's off doing a supply runee for Kaori." Kaia told him honestly.

"And that's one thing that sadly really can't be cut short. So, come on. I'll get a mug for you." She added.

"Also, yeah. That... darkness I feel coming from her? I don't trust it. So I'm going to lock it for now until Vae can check in on her and see what the hell that circle is all about."

"With the lack of mana, I doubt she'll be Too much of a threat." She commented.

"However, I dunno." She then said.

"Regardless, come on. Let' get out of here, lock the door, and let her sleep." She added.

"I've got some coffee, if you want any."
