The original is spooky and a bit silly?

@Ruby: I don't remember if the ending wraps everything up, but a lot of Stephen King does have a logic to it. I just was truly horrified by The Stand and the ultra-realism of the apocalyptic plague and the ensuing terror

I really like Pet Semetary

@Ruby: I can handle nonsense, but it's definitely very horrifying and terrifying

Oh no. They're making a mini series of The Stand. I definitely will not be watching that. I can't handle people dying of disease

@Ruby: A bunch of biblical plagues, the devil, a priest and weird weird stuff. Lots of plague gore, and people dying from horrible disease, which I do not like

@Tsundererra: Avatar really is good at the character development. No wonder it's still a classic after all this time

@Ruby: my two best friends showed me The Stand when we were all maybe 10 or 11, and I was not ready to see that movie, even though I said I wanted to watch Stephen King because they were big fans

I also watched the Princess Bride at their house, so it's not like they only watched horror

Cheesey horror is fun! Much better than stuff that gives me nightmares for weeks

Yep, we're talking about horror

Any faves?

Sokka grows up so fast once he's out in the world. I love him

There's a reason I like scifi horror - it's believable but enough separation by being set in another time or place so that I don't worry so much about it coming true

You know, I'm only halfway through the first season of Avatar, and they are handling Zuko really well as a character who is nasty but you can smell the redemption arc coming. It looks like he's going to have to earn it, and the explanation for his current state is believable

Yeah, I don't like gratuitous gore, either. I like psychological horror the best
