@Tsundererra: I usually just fold the edge into the center, and push down hard, then turn the dough about a quarter turn and repeat, but the key is the length of time you knead more than kneading technique. I used to skimp, and knead for the minimum time, but this time the dough was being difficult, so I kneaded for longer just to be sure I'd really worked up the gluten.

It can get tiring, so if you have a mixer with a dough hook attachment, that can knead your dough for you, and save you some trouble.

I hope you get the chance to make zucchini bread soon!

@inatlaka: That sounds like the perfect test for a new oven. Let us know when you get it!

@Shark: I know, right? Do you have a fave kind to make/eat?

@Kitalpha Hart: A breadmaker is so nice, and it's still homemade since you choose the recipe and ingredients. Meat buns are so delicious!

@Priestess of Pie: There are lots of good recipes online, if you ever want to try.

@Starlight: thanks! I hope you get a chance sooner rather than later

@Tsundererra: Thanks! It turned out way softer than I expected, probably because I kneaded longer this time. I've used old yeast before and gotten sad bread. Banana bread is so good! Do you ever make zucchini bread?

@Totalanimefan: I AGREE! (I also think rice is the best, and potatoes, too)

@Tsundererra: it's true, and thanks! I felt like it was time to have a face again and I figured why not celebrate the year of the Rat

Wow, that's epic!

It's totally true that it wouldn't be Voltra without her.

I haven't baked bread in a long time, but I used to make sourdough every couple weeks or so. This time, I wanted regular bread with a crunchy crust, so I got out my great grandma's Joy of Cooking book and made the white bread recipe, which is nothing like the white bread you get at the store.

I kneaded it forever, and was kind of worried because I think the recipe didn't have quite enough liquid for all the flour, since even after adding almost a quarter cup more water, it never got as smooth as it should have. Thankfully that didn't seem to matter after it rose, and when I tasted it after baking, it was totally fine.

I couldn't wait for it to cool before trying it

But this is what it looks like now that it's had time to cool down.

It smells so good I just want to eat all of the bread even though I'm no longer hungry.

What kinds of things do you all cook when you're hungry and really craving homemade food?

I think I know the website you were looking at, because that model and the cut of the suit look very familiar from when I was looking for a suit I wanted to buy. I hope you can buy it in store!
I'm excited about the NPC revamp! I hope you'll keep the old designs in the FAQ or history or somewhere, so people can see all their iterations.

Also I'm definitely looking forward to being able to play Jigsaw anytime of year. It would be neat if users could submit their own Voltra related images for approval to be turned into puzzles, to add variety. I understand not wanting to unbalance the economy. Thanks for all the time and consideration you put into everything!

@Totalanimefan: I don't normally drink coffee, but when I do, it doesn't matter what time of day I drink it, I can still sleep. I'm not sure if it's because of my ADHD or if because I already sleep pretty fitfully, so caffeine sleep doesn't seem that different to me?

I'm glad you had a good weekend doing fun things. I hope this week is easier on you.

@Cashmerella: lol, I know the feeling of having a giant list. My biggest faves are space sci-fi like Star Trek and Star Wars and similar things, whether live action, comics, cartoons/anime, etc.

I'm a huge Jin Yong fan, and have watched too many versions of Smiling, Proud Wanderer, among other wuxia shows, but I will always watch more. I also love kung fu movies, especially from the 70s and 80s.

I also like magical girls, and stories about magic powers....which again includes Star Wars, especially the tv shows Clone Wars and Rebels, where they get into some neat storylines about the mystical side of the force.

I also like cosmic horror, mostly in the form of comics, but I'll read books or watch movies when I'm in the mood. Strangely enough, a lot of Dr. Who novels and many of the episodes fall into this category even though people seem to think the show is sci-fi.

And I love cheesey 80s and 90s cartoons and ridiculous sci-fi that's not in any way believable, but is silly and fun.

There are more things I like, but that's a start.
@vengeance: I'm glad you found his advice on other topics as well. Jackson is great, and knows a ton about cats and cat behavior as does the Kitten Lady on youtube.

Welcome!

I'm also curious which fandoms you follow, and which we have in common.
You can also try getting a pheromone diffuser for cats. It generally helps relax cats that are stressed out and acting out, and can ease the tensions between cats.

If you have time, look at Jackson Galaxy's tips for cats, since he deals with a lot of cats that are on bad terms with their owners or other pets. usually it comes down to the environment doesn't make them feel safe and secure, which is something you have control over and can change.
