Desiree just laughed.

"Thank you." She said as she accepted the smoothie.

"I appreciate it" She added, pausing slightly.

"Where?" She asked, her voice curious.

"I will see you soon, then."] Desiree said. After all was sad and done, she hunt=g up, sighing lightly.

"Blondie is on his way back upstairs." She told Leo after she hung up the phone.

"Have I ever told you I hate names, by the way? They always trip me up. It's th eain thing that does now."

"That's the thing, I don't know." Desiree answered honestly.

"I mean, I'm reasonably certain they can get to me wherever I am, but he has told me that he has far more warding around his suite than I could get here." She added after a few seconds.

"And, along with that, he's.... Well, he has a buff that would give him one hell of a boost over them. Enough so that we'd have an early warning that they are coming."

"Goth Girl and the Fish are options too." Desiree commented, referring to Rene and Kalin. However, she also knew that they were a pair that she would likely get in the way of. They cared immensely for her, but both were also vey busy And she was allergic to Rene, in essence.

"And.. maybe?" She asked in response to Leo's question about her trusting Jaden.

"He.. he's who I w-went to when I was first attacked." she added.

"He did make sure I didn't die, and Rene vouched for him." She added, pausing.

"I just don't want to be in the way, or cause roblems with him." She finished, not saying Why she thought she might be a problem.

Desiree didn't say anything for a moment before sighing.

"I... haven't quite figured that out yet." She admitted after a couple of seconds.

"I obviously c-c-can't stay here." She then said. "And J-j-j-.... J has offered to let me stay there." She added.

"But... I just.. I dunno."

"I appreciate it." Desiree Said after a moment or two, and he could clearly hear the truth in that statement

"Anyway, let's get out to the other room." She added, motioning toward the door in question. After he'd agreed, they made their wya out of her bedroom and sat on what remained of the couch. It wasn't completely demolished, thankfully, but was definitely not in a good shape anymore.

Leo handed her, her phone back and started to make sure everything she wanted to keep was transferring to her SD card.

"I'm not worried about a new phone, either. Just... if this one works, I'm ok with this slightly beaten up thing."

"Yeah. They seem all right." She answered honestly.

"Not perfect, but nothing bad. It's ok. Thank you so much." She added with a soft smile.

"I am not going to repeat that, because I do want to pay you back." She added

Desiree accepted the headset before checking it over. She didn't say nything before slipping it onto her head, wondering if the fit was right and th elike. Thankfully, it was. As she powered it on, there was an initial bit of static, but that wasn't anything super unusual, before it faded.

All right, say sometihng. She signed after tapping on his elbow to get his attention.

Desiree just shrugged.

"It's works." She told him honestly.

Damaged though, of course. I'm amazed it's still functional, if I'm being honest. I thought for certain dhe would have tracked it completely. She signed as she grabbed her ohine and set it down on the bed, so he could take it to check it over if he wanted.

Yes. Desiree signed before getting to her feet.

A new friend, at that. She added after a few seconds.

Are those salvagable? She then asked, motioning to what he was fiddling with.

"It's what I would do before anyway." She added after a moment or two.

"And will, once I can replace my bullet."

Desiree was silent for a moment.

'I... Could go for a smoothie." She told him honestly.

"Assuming you know somewhere open so late.' She added after a moment or two.

"Or... A place with good smoothies, even. Deryck broke my bullet, so I can't do one myself."
