"I'm not against moving elsewhere." Desiree admitted. "I just refuse to move to the States." She added. "My main thing is that I want to live somewhere that basic human decency and rights are a thing. as in I want free, or at least cheap, health care, for example. I'm still human." She paused a moment, shrugging.
"I mean, I could afford American health care, now, but it'll absolutely demolish my account if I broke my leg."

"since I know he tends to keep up on things like that, just in case something comes up and someone needs a place."- She continued.
"However, your mother might be better, as I know she has plenty of places she owns, and might be willing to give up one for her family."

"... But.. yeah. Intrested in moving? While I love the suite, I'm not sure we have the bedrooms for a kid."

"Uh... may I ask why we need to move?" He asked, his voice confused, and almost hesitant.
"Because, as I said, we need another bedroom soon." Desiree answered.
"And why would we need anothe rbedroom?" Jaden asked, a touch annoyed that she hadn't answered his question, instead just repeated what he'd said.
"Because I'm pregnant."

"Just... same to you." she repeated with a light shake of her head.
".... Well, that begs a question. Do you want to move?" She asked. "Since I have... uhh... probably more money than you want to know the number of in the bank account I received."

"And there might be plenty there to avoid." She finished with, before sighing, heavily. Again.
"do you ... really want to go through all that with me though?" She asked, honestly sounding scared he'd say no. She couldn't imagine her life without him, and she knew that he would help if he was still there for her.
However, she wouldn't fault him if he did decide he didn't want to deal with what would likely be her life for a few months, at least.

"as for me... I'm going to keep doing what I do for as long as I can. Once word of this hits the tabloids, well... I might not be able to." She sighed, heavily.
"As for how are things going to change. well.... You think you can handle being on the tabloids and shit? Paparazzi is going to be a concern, especially here in Winnipeg, for a bit."

"Now... do you understand why I said that these outfits are out of your pay grade, specifically?" She asked, smirking slightly. Her face did flush a bit when he made his comment on the dress, but she didn't dare dwell on it. At least not right now.
"I own this company. I can get one of everything. Free." She added. "Not... not that I will. I like someof it, yeah, but I prefer my walmart clothes, to b ehonest."

"In so far as that is the man that he became." She continued.
"And ... honestly? That's how he's been since I left. I ran because he was being abused by Mother for protecting me. I couldn't deal with that, but... chances are it continued after I left, that she just didn't have me as the convenient excuse."

"He knew that Mother would leave the company to him, and knew that he was going to be doing the dirty work regarding me for the woman as well." She continued.
"as a result, before he truly was corrupted, he'd filled out his will - and added a clause where he could not reverse it without Marcus' signature." she paused here before chuckling lightly.
"And we both know that Marcus would never sign THAT."

With the moonlight coming through the floor to ceiling windows behind her, the low light below, it looked almost perfect... and ominous. "Jaden... my name is Desiree Evelyn McCormick, and I'm the daughter that Mariana Niell refused to acknowledge." She told him plainly.
"She left the company to Deryck when she died.... and he left it to me."

"Honestly, I'm not sure. I THINK I was told 25, though." She then said before heading over to the small staircase that went up to the second level of the office.
"Come on. The view is gorgeous, especially with the setting sun." She added.
"Not gonna lie. After I found out this is my company, I kinda.... spent a lot of time up here. It's absolutely breathtaking."
