Lunet was silent for a moment, thinking, before snapping her fingers.

"Leo is probably working at the moment." She commented "Considering the time zone difference and all."

"However, I know that Zeke and her are super close as well." She added as she dialed the nephilims number.

"Hey, Zeke? Can you do me a favour?" She asked once he'd answered.

"Find out what's holding Desiree up?" She asked, after he'd asked her what the favour was.She had no idea if he'd be game, but she hoped he would.

The one he'd asked sighed, heavily.

"I barely know more than of her, since her and Leo are close." She commented.

"Bu I think we might be on the same page." She added, pausing to think about it for a moment.

"I... My contact is nearly impossible to get ahold of, I find."

Years later, Desiree was doing a show.

Or at least, she was supposed to.

She never did arrive, and the parents of the birthday twins were starting to get worried.

"The view up here is absolutely gorgeous." She agreed.

"Thank you." She then said. "For giving me this chance. What can I ever do to repay you?"

"Yeah. I'll b good." Desiree assured him as she took a seat in the other chair out there.

"He's amazing." She added after a couple seconds.

"And yeah, I'll be all right. Just ... a bit handicapped for the moment." she added with a light laugh.

Desiree was silent for a moment, making sure that her hand was wrapped adequatel, before making her way out to where Jaden was.

"Hey." She said.

"... Sorry about all that."

Desiree was silent for a moment before shaking her head.

'No.. I don't think there is anything." She commented.

"Thank you so much, I really do appreciate it."

"True. You are."[ Desiree agreed with a nod.

"And I'm a little... handicapped at the moment." She added.

"right through the palm of the hand... I swear. My hunter half tried to kill me again. I don't eve know What happened."

"Good. Means I don't need to deal with being half blind again." Desiree commented with a sigh.

"Because I hated that thing." She added. She didn't know if he was aware of what that blade did, but she didn't care by this point.

"Ever try to perform half blind? So not fun."

"While, I dreally would prefer no one sank to their level, I can definirely respect and appreciate the fact that someone is taking it upon themsevles to do what I literally cannot. I've tried. I act defensive, not offensively, and it just.... makes actually doing any real damage to them a task and a half,." Desiree commented.

"The best I could do, is slice him with his dagger last time he came for me. He probably barely survived, though. I did get him across the torso really well, and that damend dagger is sharp."

Desiree nodded.

"I'm still functioning as well as ever." She commented after a moment or two.

"I know I'm going to be paying for this later in life, though." She added after another second, and a breath.

"But.... until they aren't a problem anymore, there's nothing I can do about it."

"Oh, things are all riht." Desiree answered honestly.

"I think he's getting worried about how little I sleep though." She added after a moment or two.

"Reasonably certain that he doesn't like how I don't think he's ever seen me sleeping."

"He came in and I immediately told him to take off because of the blood." Desiree told him honestly.

"The last thing I want to do is possibly cause him to lose his cool." She added after a moment.

"And no. It's not because he scares me. It's because I don't want to cause him to do something he might regret, whatever it could be."

'Heaven's no! I wouldn't have told you to go away in that event" Desiree responded.

"Now go get some air!" She added.

"At least until after I clean the mess out here."
