Desiree had been about to say something, before Marcus already countered what it was that she was going TO say. She had been about to mention about the Unit, and Evan. She realised that there was a good chance he could actually help, but Marcus obviously thought that too. "I... do know someone else." She told him.
"If ... if you're wanting to try. She's not entirely human. She's a Faerie." She added. "And yes, that does play into how effective she really can be."

"good to see you again. How has life been for you lately?" she asked as they both took a seat, wanting to know how things were before she dumped a bombshell on him. She was sure he had an idea that she was going to acquire the company, but also thought he might like to actually know it happened. Along with that, she was reasonably certain that her telling him that he's going to be a grandfather was likely going ot be the bigger surprise.

"And he's sweet. " She added before pausing and thinking about it.
"I could definitely eat one of those Turkey and ham panini's you guys do. I don't klnow WHAT you do, but you guys do something to make them addictive."

About a week later, Desiree sighed as she stepped into the bar and grill. She looked around, noticing how empty it was with a light chuckle, before making her way up to the bar.
"Hey. Is Marcus around?" She asked, her voice curious.
"If not, that's fine, I can stop by his place. Just figured I'd check here first."

"They'll likely be in contact to make sure it's all going well for you." She then said as she typed.
"Hell, she wanted to go straight to you, but I told her that you didn't even know this was happening, that you'd get the chance, and ... I didn't really want you to find out THAT way. I figured it'd be better if you head it from me, instead." She paused, thinking a moment.
"So don't be surprised if a Winnipeg number calls you in the next few days."

"I asked them to come up with something that they thought would be fitting for you, and a couple of the designers here whipped this up in just like... a day and a half." She added.
"Take a look, lemme know."

"So, I'm not huge on fashion and such, but I wanted... well, I asked them to do a coat for you." She told him honestly as she made her way back into the office, to the desk where there was a computer.
"Assuming you think you might want to have your name attached to the company officially."

"And... yeah." She continued. "This place... it's amazing." She agreed.
"I don't know what the hell it is that happened to cause me to get THIS stroke of luck, but...it's a thing."
"The question, is what kind of things do you want to change? Is there anything you wqant to update, get, or whatever? Considering I can tell you righ tnow, the chances are I can afford it without an issue." She paused here.
"Oh, and also, Do you want some of the clothing here? I don't actually know your fashion preferences or whatever."

You'll definitely make the news." she added as she made her way to the door, not missing a beat with her words, and opening them.
"Come on." She then said as she stepped outside, figuring he'd likely follow.
"It's a glass balcony, but it's been reinforced with mana. The chances of it breaking are .... well, less than a fraction of a percent."

"I really don't want to be treated differently there, but I might just have to be more ... particular about my clients." She admitted.
"Anyway, is there anything you'd like to check, know, see, whatever around here?" She asked.
"I know we were on our way up so you could get a good look at the city below from the balcony over there." She added as she motioned to the glass wall he could see was doors.

"For the record, I'm cool with the news of me carrying being passed around. I just think the company information shouldn't be as thrown around. I... I don't want anything to change because of this. I don't want people to look at me differently."

"... are you saying you don't want me to go through with this?" She asked, her voice almost hesitant.
"If that's the case, then I can respect it, but... " She trailed off, not entirely sure what it was that she could say here. She knew that he'd undersand where sh was going with that though.

"I'd rather not deal with all that concern quite yet. I haven't even told anyone about this." She motioned to the office they were in, "And I'm not looking forward to THAT either."
"I might not tell people, for that matter. If someone asks, I'll answer, but I don't know if I'm really going to go out of my way and tell them. Might just gift them things that they want, but can't justify the price of themsevles, or something."
