Anya just laughed, fitting the role perfectly. She was a demon after all.

"Obviously not if I'm here in his place." Anya stated with such venom and contention to her voice that it was almost a wonder that he didn't burn up on the spot.

"The suffering needs to be NATURAL, not fabricated." She continued as she crossed her human arms over chest, but below her rather sizable breasts.

"Give me one, just one, fantastic reason as to why I shouldn't completely erase you."

Suffer infinitely..? Anya wondered for about three seconds before it clicked.

"You're the cult of Suffering." She stated.

"What makes you think that an adult is anything akin to a suitable sacrifice?" She asked, venom to her voice as she stepped up to him.

"I may not be who you were after, but I was certainly who you got. So you better impress me."

Anya was quick on her feet, and she made her way through the trees over to the one that was running. She didn't say anything before smirking and causing a portal to hell to open ahead of him, and what seemed like a veritable metric tonne of spiders to come crawling out of it, and to him.

She had no idea if he was arachnophobic or not, but she was sure that if he survived this... he would be afterwards.

As she watched the spiders, this time not naturally occurring ones, swarm him, she approached, her own spider features becoming more apparent as her extra legs tore through her shirt, sprouting from her back, half her face got dark, and more.

"Do be sure to scream." She stated.

"However, before you do. What is the deal with the pit?" She asked, ehr voice very much not friendly as she started to withdraw some webbing from her hair.

If he wouldn't cooperate, she could make him.

"Ohhhh great." Anya muttered as she just used her psychic connection to spiders to get them to head for the chanting group. She didn't know what it was that would come next, but did realise that a lot of spiders would likely end up dead. They were almost always willing to sacrifice themselves for her, when need be.

"Make a scene, let's get these guys to stop with this." She muttered as she approached, but stayed far enough back to not be pulled in by the pit that she knew was there, along staying out of their awareness. At least she hoped, anyway.

Her spiders, meanwhile, started to swarm those there.

Anya didn't say anything, not sure what it was that she could say. As she saw the green glow, she just sighed... Heavily.

"All right. I'm going to go get a look within." She told Jake honestly.

"Jake... Stay safe, hey?"

"If you're picking up on it, then I'd say it's super obvious." Anya commented.

"You aren't the most receptive to things like that, after all." She added.

"Is there anything useful that you can tell me?"

"That is very trrue" Anya agreed after a moment or two.

"For now, I will talk to you later. If you need me, text me. However, keep in mind that I will have my phone muted, just so I don't get found out without wanting it." She told him.

"Anyway I will talk to you later." With that, they ended the call and she just sighed.

"Oh man this isn't entirely what I want to be doing." She muttered as she put Ty's phone onto the shelf into the bedroom and heading out. She knew she had work to do, after all.

Anya didn't say anything for a few minutes, debating the answer to that question.

"I think I can handle it." She told him honestly.

"I'm a demon, a high level one at that point." She continued before laughing.

"Some cultists won't be an issue."

Anya just sighed.

"I'm heading there now." She told Jake simply.

"He's out cold, and I'm gonna go check and see what the hell is going on. Seems there's another pit on the surface, and it's active." She continued.

"Being the liason, I don't have a choice. I have to look into this."

"So, thank you for the direction. That's about the same area as where he was saying that he felt the creation, activation, whatever."

Anya had good reflexes, and it was times like this that it was ver easy to see. She caught him with no difficulty at all, and just lifted him up off te floor.

"... Figured." She muttered before heading off with her, heading to the guest room. She had every intention of setting him up in there as she had no idea how long it was that he'd be out.

She left a note for him as well, telling him to help himself to whatever was in the kitchen, and that Jake would be back by eleven. She had absolutely no idea how long he'd be out, but she knew that it would be better to leave him be for the moment. She had to go and check in on that pit, considering her position and all.

Anya was silent for a moment before shrugging.

"All right then. That's obviously taking a bit out of you, so I figured you can just sit and chill and I'd check it out, but hey. You're more durable than I am." She commented.

"Is there anyone I should get ahold of for you?"

Anya was silent for a moment.

".... A pit?" She asked.

"Why the fuck would one be created...?" She wondering, knowing that he likely wouldn't be able to answer that.

"Give me the address. Or at least the area, I'll go look into it."
