Good evening everyone. How's everyone's day been?

My day was alright, work seemed to go by fairly quick.

And my liberty of London fabric I bought came in the mail today! So pretty

If someone tried handing that thing to me I'd throw it at them. Just eww, nope.

I love cheese and I love chocolate, but that "cookie" abomination, omg no.

The thought of a savory cookie just seems weird to me.

Cookies are supposed to be sweet.

I should really remember to ask my mother, aunt and grandmother if they can write down my great grandmother's cookie recipes one of these days. I'd love to have them.

Hopefully I can find a good recipe that'll work well with the cookie press I got. I bought a set of Christmas shaped cookie press discs for holiday baking.

I'm gonna be disappointed if I can't get the darn thing to work like its supposed to

The few shaped cookies I managed to get looked alright enough, though one looks like a mutant octopus or something XD

They were supposed to be sunflowers

I definitely think the recipe I tried could have used a little bit more vanilla extract than what it called for. They taste alright enough but they're a bit on the bland side

Could maybe just be the recipe I used, next time I attempt them I'll try a different recipe

It was too soft at first i think so I put in the fridge to chill a bit but i think it chilled too much. Left the cookie press sitting out a few minutes while i just dropped cookie onto the sheet with a spoon but i still had dough in the press, i was able to get a few shaped cookies by carefully peeling the dough away from the bottom of the press

Well, took a bit of work but I got a few shaped cookies out of the cookie press, I think next time I just need to try a different recipe

Well darn. Chilling the cookie dough a bit didn't help at all. It still won't go through the press. I think next time I attempt spritz cookies I'll try a different recipe maybe.
