Good afternoon everyone. How's everyone's day going?

I am so behind this event. Got offered extra hours at work, which is great, but I just haven't had much free time this week.

At least were finally getting some rain again. We had hardly any rain this summer. I just wish it wasn't so chilly out tonight.

Its freaking chilly out again today. I'm freezing. I'm sitting here wrapped in two blankets and I'm still cold.

I dont want to turn on the heat yet though, its supposed to get up to 70° again in a few days. And I need to change the furnace filter before I turn it on again.

It is September but right now it feels almost like winter. I am freezing. But I dont really want to turn the heat on yet because its supposed to be nicer out again tomorrow.

But I'm currently wearing a sweater and wrapped in a blanket and I am still cold.

Oh it's fine. It's just the end of the season is all. I'll get more flowers next year.

Went out to the garden a little while ago to see what I could pick. Things are starting to die back. Pretty much most of my flowers look like they're done. Going to have to start hauling planters into the garage for the winter soon.

I live in the midwestern United states.

And winter can come early here sometimes. There's been some years we've gotten snow in October. I remember once when I was a little kid it snowed pretty good on Halloween night.

I need to find a bucket somewhere so I can dig up the potatoes I planted. Need to dig those up before the ground freezes.

Its looking like it'll be an early winter this year. I am not ready for it. Need to start spending some of my days off work working on getting yardwork done before winter.

Its early September yet but it got darn chilly out today.


Now I'm glad I just made a batch of chili soup yesterday. It feels like soup weather out today. And its supposed to be cooler out tomorrow than today and a forecast of rain all day tomorrow.

I am not ready for it to be fall. Just saw the first of the leaves falling off one of the big maple trees in my yard the other day. The seasons need to slow down. Too fast. I dont want winter yet

And I really hope we can get the one maple tree in my yard taken down next year. We keep losing branches off it lately and its making me a bit nervous because there's a few huge branches that hang pretty far over the house currently. It's going to be expensive to get taken down though. It's a big maple

The next few days the temps supposed to drop almost 20° here

Things are pointing towards an early winter its looking like. I need to get going and get more yardwork done soon or I'm not going to get anything done before winter.

It was such a nice peaceful night till someone started setting off fireworks.

Its finally cooled down enough I could turn the air conditioner off and open the windows.

I suppose its probably because its labor day weekend but someone is shooting off a crap ton of fireworks.

It's a little annoying to hear when its not the 4th of july.

You can find the most random stuff in thrift stores sometimes. Part of what makes it fun I think. You just never know what you'll come across.
