Aww I'm sorry for your loss D: I have lost a couple of cats in my childhood cause my parents wouldnt stop tossing them outside, and snakes would get to them (back when I lived in FL). I'll never have an outdoor cat again~

My kitty will play with anything and gets the daily after-poop zoomies where she flies all over the home and jumps on whatever obstacle she claims. So I definitely need to be careful with how I decorate! I'll need all plastic or wooden ornaments lmao

My mom has those same blue ornament set that you have on that tree! With the white trees painted on them. They're so prettyyy

I'm also insanely excited for christmas because of a gift my mom and I got for my fiance.
He's really excited for moving too, so this canvas is gonna make him lose his dang mind for the new dining room

I was tempted to get something like a macrame christmas tree to hang up~

Id hang it on the wall in a designated spot where I'd pile our presents under it. But my cat would absolutely be interested in climbing on it if I did.
Might consider this for next year though cause they're kinda really cute!

Got approved to move into another apartment! I've been moving so much this year that I'm SO DONE with it, but I'm still excited. This time was to get out of a stinky place full of mold, so it was pretty necessary. ALso seems like this area I'm in currently isn't as safe as I initially thought. A lot of gang activity around us (and also set next to a Red Roof inn which brings in some sketchy characters). Decided to try a different town that's about 5 min closer to my job anyways. There's a lot of new builds there but it doesn't look like the recent inflations has hit it quite as hard as the other surrounding cities (yet--just give it another couple months when people discover it) so it looks shiny and who knows what it will turn into in the next few years. But right now, it has the best apartment ratings overall so... lets see what its like to live there!
This time I really intend to STAY STILL for at least the 12 month lease. Seriously. No more movinggg :vanora_sweat:

Decided a proper tree would make our living room feel too crowded because we have this big ass 7 ft cat tree clogging so much space already lmao

I'm in an apartment complex. I love seeing how creative people get with their balconies here. Despite limited space, everyone remains festive <3

except that one neighbor with the creepy santa on their balcony. When its dark it just looks like a fat gremlin silhouette staring through the bars at you as you walk along the sidewalk

colorado wasnt great for walking either but texas is definitely worse, where i live currently. mainly that everything is cut off by highways and interstates here. but also, just seems no where is safe where my job is located! being in cities and all

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Maybe moving forward it would be a good idea to always save two files? Like one when you're halfway or nearly done, and the other when you're done. that way if you have to redo it cause of shitty corruptions, the other will be there so you dont start aaaaaaall the way over

Make sure you get some dang good snacks to accompany your writing

We like being a one car family, cause sharing a ride in the morning on the way to work makes for a good quality time.
obviously we would waaaaaay prefer walking if it were possible, but its just so dangerous (and far of course).

My lease will last until july next year but I'm honestly probably gonna break it, cause this building is a sick house. The mold is so much worse than I thought and my cat and I are always sick ;; its a learning lesson on how to look out for these signs, though! What I thought was just a lazy paint job and old wood was really a poorly maintained building~

although in their minor defense, they took a couple hours off of my shift. But eh, one car family, I have to go in early anyways so I dont actually get to accept the extra free time T~T
I hate living 40 min from our jobs! gonna try to move closer for my next lease.
