".......oh, damn it...." Jaden muttered.
"Ah... hell... um..." he stammered.
"I'll try and talk to her."' he said.
"See if I can't get it so she trusts YOU, at the very least." he went on.
He then crossed his arms over his chest, and started tapping his foot.
"Damn it..." he cursed again, before taking out his phone.
Hey, can we have a quick chat? he sent to Desiree.
"Ah... hell... um..." he stammered.

"Yep." Rene replied.
"Serenity!" he called out.
"We need to prep Desiree's spare room!" he called further, as he stepped away and headed off.
"......" Jaden was silent as he heard all that, and then sighed.
"How?" he asked.
"What can I do?" he asked her, before thinking for a second.
"I suppose I can keep anything she values safe at my place..." he muttered.
"If she'll trust me with such." he then added.

Jaden looked at Kalin, and nodded slightly.
"Well..." he muttered, sighing a little.
He then proceeded to tell her what Desiree had told him. How things had gone, how she had gone to check her account, and all that she had told him afterwards.
"....what can I do, here?" he asked.
"I'll tell you what." Rene said from the doorway, having overheard that.
"Put her family 20 feet underground." he snarled, genuine loathing in his tone.
"Well..." he muttered, sighing a little.

Got it. Jaden responded.
He then put away his phone, grabbed his drink, and left the coffee shop. He made his way to where he wouldn't be seen, before disappearing in a hole of his own creation, appearing at the front door of Kalin's home.
He knocked on the door, which was answered by the tall green-haired man he knew as Rene.
"Here to see Kalin?" Rene asked.
Jaden just nodded.
"Head to the den, then." Rene replied, before stepping out of the way and taking out his phone.
Jaden's here. he sent to Kalin, as Jaden made his way to the den, and sat down in one of the chairs.

Her family issues. he sent.
There has to be a way I can help. he sent further.
Anything at all to ease the pain and fear that she must be feeling. he then said.
He then paused for a moment, and thought about it.

"......." Jaden was silent as he watched her go, before drumming his fingers on the table.
"God damn it." he cursed.
"The HELL do I do NOW?" he wondered.
He then took out his cell phone, and texted the one person he thought could help.
Which was when Kalin received a text from him... with a simple, but complicated, question.

He didn't know what to say here.
In front of him was a woman that was apparently being robbed blind constantly, with her life being threatened as well, and the police wouldn't do anything about it.
And this torment was coming from her OWN FAMILY.
He felt the anger and rage welling up within him, as his hands clenched into fists, and he started to quiver a little.

"And the police don't do anything?" he asked.

Jaden gave her a bit of a pseudo-glare, before sighing.

"I'll have a Chipotle Turkey Club sandwich." he told her.
