Alan paused for a moment, and thought about it, seemingly crunching the numbers in his mind.

"Abouuuut.... 50/50." he stated.

'As in, half the population are mortals-at-large, and the other half are mages and non-humans." he clarified. "We have a number of lycans here in this town, and... a handful of vampires." he continued.

"They have an understanding with each other." he assured her.

"And the mages have taken to this town. They like it." he chuckled.

"..." Alan was silent as Anya made her offer, before nodding slowly.

"You know what? Sure." he responded.

"I really COULD use some clothing that's resistant to their drool." he told her further.

"I mean, doesn't hurt me, obviously, but... yeah, it IS annoying." he admitted.

"For specifics, I could use more shirts, and an extra pair of pants."

Alan just laughed.

"No worries." he told her.

"Seriously, I've been set up here for a while, and demon hunters have come and gone, whilst I fly under their radar." he assured her. "It's no problem at all to have you here." he said further.

"If anything, your presence here gives me a friend I can speak to about things that... well, I can't with others." he admitted.

"Seriously, it's amazing how few people can't relate to trying to get Cerberus drool out of your clothing." he finished, acting a smidgen indignant and shrugging in an exaggerated manner.

"More than likely." Alan responded.

"That, and you tend to stay to yourself. You don't feud with other demons... or, rather, you don't START them... and you don't try and arrange grand coups." he said with a shrug.

"Sooooo yeah, that would put you in her 'good books'." he concluded.

"A low bar of entry, but... well... not many people IN it."

@sorrowthemad: Oh yeah, bet it was NOT fun being stuck in there.

"Mostly slow." Alan replied.

"I've been doing undercover work, essentially. Been tasked with keeping an eye on this band of hunters, as they seem to be serious trouble." he told her further, shaking his head.

"Now, granted, no issue for archdemons and up, and they wouldn't be able to handle sheer numbers, but... they've gotten to be more of an issue that past bands like them." he continued.

"Oh, and Cerby has grown to really like me." he then recalled.

"They tend to... well... get REALLY happy when I show up to tend to them."

Alan just smiled in response.

"Good. That's good to hear." he told her.

"I'm glad, despite this rather major upset, things have been going well for you." he said. "And it's good that people are looking past your femininity, and appreciating your clothing." he went on.

"Always thought you had a talent for it." he continued.

"Glad other people are seeing it, too."
