I definitely enjoy a professional cut, but I don’t mind doing it myself most of the time. I gave myself an undercut and just had a sibling cut it from time to time. The upkeep was pretty minimal and easy.

Dying, and especially lightening, is an entirely different monster. For a while there I had some hits and misses, but I got pretty good at it. I gave myself this gorgeous blonde color while in school, and then promptly mucked it up with henna.

I had been dying and bleaching my hair just fine for years, but I would never do henna again.

@CooperationIsKey: I have had hit-and-miss luck with carriers and buying things online--who hasn't. But I hope that the book turns up or at least it's resolved really easily and painlessly.

I usually just sit and frown like a child for a bit, then come up with a solution. The solution is usually an overly verbose e-mail.

And off, sorry to hear about the headphone dilemma. The best thing I ever did was buy a nice pair of headphones.
[edit] Come to think of it, that's a weird thing to say. It was a great purchase, but hardly the "best" thing I ever did, haha!

Is that an older age to be sleeping with parents? I don't recall ever sleeping with my parents, so they must have cut it off earlier or just had a different method.

I have worn khakis once in my life for a job, and they were the saggiest, most ill-fitting pair of trousers I've ever worn in my life. It's a wonder I wasn't let go just for those pants.

I was making lattes that had rose syrup, cardamom, and a little beet powder to make it pink. I tend to just drink them plainly, or as an espresso, but it can be fun to mix it up with some sweetness or flavoring once in a while. My favorite recently was a pistachio flavoring that I add to the milk before frothing it.
