@cashew: I apologize for such a long wait. Please let me know if the colors need to be adjusted.
Additionally, because of the wait and because it’s a different style than ordered, you’re not required to pay.

I'm a little late to congratulate you, but congratulations!
Did you do anything to celebrate? I hope you have much success in the future with what you decide to do.
Posted in PB&J preference? Posted 2 years ago
I grew up eating it with raspberry jam because of the prevalence of raspberries here, but I really prefer strawberry preserves for pb+j. And as for the peanut-butter, I prefer anything more on the "processed" side--natural nut butters tend to be either too dry or too liquid.

That's an impressively gullible employee, but it's good it gave everyone a good riot.

I had my whole desk rubber-banded while I was out at lunch once. It was well-deserved after all the nonsense I had been pulling on my coworkers.
A really good one that they pulled was telling everyone in the company that they "found out" I did standup and I had a show at a bar that Friday. The entire week people were telling me how excited they were to see me and that they knew all along I should have been doing it. It really came to a head at the end of the week when everyone had planned to go to that bar to see me.

I don't do standup and I never have.

It looks really lovely, Total. Very professional work, in fact.

I'm just sorry to hear that you were made to do the labor in such a frantic way. I hope you were able to relax after and take a nice breather to decompress from that kind of rush.

I noticed that wedding venues and vendor costs rose quite a bit because of the demand.
Water and coffee, generally. The coffee can vary a bit in flavor, but it's generally some derived creation of a latte.

So the housing shortage isn't caused by local governments providing housing to those without homes (i.e., the homeless). I don't really know where that occurred, but as far as I'm aware and could find, the "housing" was just hotels, shelters, and converted stadiums--not actual homes. The shortage of housing is caused by a multitude of factors, not the least of which is homebuilders overextending themselves, tariffs and immigration policies (caused by Congress) on building supplies + labor, and the boom of companies buying existing properties for exorbitant prices as an investment property because of low mortgage rates. The mortgage rates are lower than most federal student loan rates.

I spent most of my spring and early summer studying, and now I'm just taking care of administrative tasks. For the most part I haven't been bothered to be online because I find it more irritating than anything.

I'm usually pretty good at remembering my obligations and allocating time to them accordingly. That, and I tend to keep an accurate planner.
For something like art or online trades, honestly, it's the lowest on my priority list when compared to anything else I deal with on a day-to-day outside of a forum or game.

Thank you for the update. It looks like some interesting items.

@Totalanimefan: Speaking of Pokemon, it looks like the Summer '22 Plasma Orb took some inspiration, no?

    And I could, I could...but I won't. //laughs
I'm slowly shifting more towards reading. It has been years since I've read for pleasure for longer than a few days so I want to get back into that hobby.

I don't mind the 3d, and I can see why there's so much appeal. Especially when some games have a lot of fun with it and you can see the charm. But often it feels like the games are being released prematurely in regard to the design. Perhaps it's simple on purpose and I'm not understanding it, but it's just my take. I do know the focus--at least in the recent Pokemon games--is on the monsters, but it's kind of startling to see just a plain plain with a contrasting item/monster plopped in the middle.

I first came into the series with RF4 and I will still occasionally pop into it on my Switch for a few hours. I was very eager about RF5, but when it was finally released I just couldn't get myself to buy it because I think I was expecting a little bit more from the graphics. Not that the trailers, teasers, and early releases for reviewers didn't show me everything, but I keep hoping that this style of game will end up a bit more aesthetically pleasing like Breath of the Wild, or something in the same ballpark. The new technology the companies are using for designing the world of a game leaves a lot of this open space that's filled with textureless shapes, it feels.

There's always room for improvement in the future, of course.

I usually stick to the Switch because of its compact portability. That, and I don't have a computer setup designed for games. I've waffled for quite a while about getting into computer games so that I can customize some of them (where applicable) but I also know my own limits to this hobby.

Isn't the age-old question, 'who is your preferred marriage candidate?'

@Totalanimefan: Just a Pokemon game in general. I still enjoy the pixel graphics, and I've just been waiting around for when the games look a bit more refined before spending the time and money on them. The worlds have a great concept, all things said.

I never played Pokemon GO--I believe I was working most of the time when it came out so I missed the craze. I don't regret it, though. My sibling really loves the game and was always out skateboarding to a gym or new spawn that popped up on the city map.

I remember the stranglehold Pokemon GO had on everyone a few years ago. It's just wild to me how far this has come--both in terms of the breadth of Pokemon and the evolving types of gameplay. The last time I played it was still very much a turn-based game.
@Count Trashula: Just a quick [and very minor] update.
