@sunny: Yes, it's always amazing to discover just how many little bits and pieces one has managed to accumulate when you're faced with a move! I'm really glad you got the house - you sound so excited about it and I'm excited for you!

@Wildfire: Haha I AM pretty excited. I mostly can't wait to see inside it (we haven't seen inside yet, there are people still living there). Also there are a bunch of fields right next to the road, so that will be good for dog-walking opportunities.
@sunny: That does sound lovely! So this is a house-house, right? ... or is it an apartment? Semi-attached? Detached? Two bedrooms, from the sound of it... what else does your new place have that makes you excited?
@Wildfire: It's a semi-detatched bundalow. Idk if you guys have them there. It's basically a house but only one level. It's good for my mum because she is disabled.
I am excited for storage opportunities strangely enough! Our current place has terrible storage.... And I'm looking forward to measuring up my room and working out if the wardrobe I want will fit in. And I'm looking forward to having a bath with taps that actually WORK (we have to fill our current bath up by redirecting hot water from the sink, which is annoying.....). But mostly I'm looking forward to the ground and living somewhere a bit greener. Our current village is pretty industrialised. This new village has muchos green space:(google maps - on the left are all the nice green fields which I am excited for. The urban-looking area to the north is where I currently live.)

There are definitely places that are attached or semi-attached, although they are not as common here as the stand-alone housing (unless you're in an urban environment), and they are usually, to the best of my knowledge, at least two story.
