Vicki froze a moment.

"...... I didn't know he was technically family..." She admitted.

"really doesn't change anything, but ... didn't know that." She added.

"And don't worry, I can keep myself quiet. I... have a lot of secrets, like how I knew this in the first place, after all."

"Honestly, the best you can do, is just keep in mind that yeah, you did what was needed, even if it was morally grey." She commented.

"That alone should be more than good enough, but that's just me." She added.

"One life to save how many others? I don't see why you should feel bad about that, myself."

Vicki was silent for a moment before nodding.

"That... makes sense." She commented.

"... at least it was for a ood cause, or reason." She added. "I figured it would be... but at least there's taht."

"It's just... it's been nagging at me for awhile." Vicki answered honestly.

"I don't know why, I don't know naything other than the fact that you killed me." She continued.

"And I can't banish it from my thoughts... so I figured I'd just... ask."

"Who was Cedric?" Vicki asked from where she sat. She was calm, looked a bit stressed, but calm.

"Seriously... who was he?" She asked, missing the twitch from him.

"I can't get it out of my head, and I know you were involved in his death, and just... why am I plagued like this? Who was he? Maybe that will help..."

Alice nodded.

"That works for me." She commented after a few seconds.

"Because you know better than I do." She added with a light laugh.

Alice just shrugged.

"Why not keep going with what I'm weakest at. In theory, that'll help boost the rest too." She commented as she stretched her back up tall.

"Because, really? That'd likely be a good idea, but that's just my opinion."

Alice nodded.

"Yeah, of course."

"I did say it'd be a good idea, so might as well try. Just... don't do too much damage." She said with a light laugh.

"I am expecting to be beaten on pretty solidly."

Alice nodded and headed off to do just that, questioning why the hell she didn't do it before leaving, as she had actually intended to. This was the first time she was bringing it, after all.

About ten minutes later, she made her way back to where he was.

"I'm good."

Sure enough, Alice arrived back there when expected. She appeared in the backyard and looked around, wondering where her brother was. She had some bruises, but overall, it really wasn't too bad at all. She had no issues with continuing again today, as she realised she didn't really need to worry about it.

The question, was finding him.

He was in the kitchen, getting a pack of things - snacks, water, etc - together when she knocked on the door and stepped in. She was silent, but waved to say hello once he looked up at her.

"Well, I liekyl won't be back before tomorrow, regardless." Ashleigh commented.

"So if it takes til then, that5's perfectly fine." She added after a moment or two.

"Give me ten and then send me. Lemme get what I need collected." She then said before heading off to do just that.

"I'll fly back. You know it doesn't mix well with mana usually." Ashleigh answered.

"But this will cut down a lot of time." she added.

"So yeah, thanks. I'll let you know when I'm good - shouldn't be too long."

"Yeah, sure." Ashleigh said.

"... you don't need to bribe me for it, either." She added before snickering. "However, that was an effective bribe."

"I'm going to pack up some shit and get out of here. I'll try and be quick, but it does take awhile to fly out there. Unless you wanna mana me there." She added with a shrug.

Ashleigh was silent for a moment, debating it.

"Yeah. Yeah, I can do that. Hell, I got nothing going on for the next few days... I think I have the time to go grab." She added.

"So I could do it now if you wanted me to?" She asked.

"Beyond that, I think the hunt I'm going on in a few days is going to be... a bit long and intensive. Not sure how long, mind."
