She was silent for a moment.

"My name is Vaeri Carnelis." She started. "And I can't go home, no one is there. Oh, I'm sixteen, and a fae, and just spent what feels like a couple of years on a different plane and am not entirely sure that I can get everything to reconnect properly here." She paused to take a break, and was about to continue before Jake stopped her.

"Hey, take a breath, you're okj here." He said.

"I ... don't know how long I will be before I'm forced back." Vaeri told him.

"I think me being here, seen by you, on this plane, is temporary."

"Oh, Yuki rarely leaves. There will likely be someonere to answer." Kaia said. "And no need to apologise."

"I'll see you later." She then said with a few seconds later, before waving and heading off to get the food in question.

she was quiet as she stepped inside, looking very much not all the best. She was pale, looked tired as all get out, and honestly seemed like she was possibly barely between the planes. Especially since the guard saw her flicker out of existence for a second.

"... I ... I was told this is a place where non-humans can get help." She said, her voice quiet, tired, as she approached the desk.

Kaia gave him the dorm location.

"Feel free to come knocking whenever." She told him.

"I really don't sleep. So hour isn't an issue." She said before getting to her feet.

"Meanwhile, I should get Yuki the sushi she asked for." She continued. "as I DID tell her I would return with it."

Kaia just sighed.

"Don't worry about it. I'm in the same boat." She admitted.

"Like... seriously. I'm trying to find something, anything, that could help me get them all back, but ... I can't find anything, and it's driving me up the wall. I really do hope that it's just a thing I'm overlooking and it's easy to do."

"Overlooking?" Kaia asked, her voice curious.

"I... have no idea what it could be." She added. "I've tryed everything, checked everything, that I could think of, or see."

"If something is being overlooked, it's because I don't know of it, I think. But I really hope that it IS something simple like that."

Kaia just sighed.

"I know." She commented.

"Sharp's technically my family... through marriage... and not exactly close, but I do know he's one that will do whatever he can." She said.

"However, if they are on a different plane, I'm not sure what even HE can do about that."

"Yeah, I know." Kaia commented. "Generally if a conduit CAN access another plane, it's like... the plane of the dead." was added a few seconds later.

"I just hope that ... someone, or something, comes up that can help."

"We lost our home, quite a dent was put in the money situation - Yuki and I will be fine for awhile - and it's just a headache." She told him. "Plus, we're family. So of course I want them all back."

"It's my current working theory at least." Kaia commented.

"I have no idea WHAT can do that, as there's nothing that I know of that can send or take another to any other plane, short of just killing someone and sending them to limbo or something." She added.

"And I know they aren't dead, and are in the theatre.... somewhere. They all show up there with my scrying."

Kaia didn't say anything for a moment, before sighing.

"The worst part? The one that I think COULD most definitely help, is gone." She admitted.

"Vaeri is... was... whatever the context is, a somnafae." She told him. "And would be able to go between the planes with no difficulty at all. She likely could have found them and at least told us where they were, so as to give us all an idea as to how the hell to find them all."

Kaia nodded.

"We do." She assured him.

"Although, Yuki's never been outside." she added. "At least, not around here. She was, then was taken in, and has shut herself away to protect everyone. She's a yuki-onna, if you know what they are."

"So, yeah. She tends to avoid people, and sunlight ain't good for her."

Kaia nodded.

"Yep." She asnwered.

"We bought out a theatre, renovated it and repaired it a few decades back, and live in the basement." She told him honestly.

"There ... are.... a number of the group who literally cannot be out in public, or in the sun, or something. Yuki, the woman I came here with, for example. The sun will, quite literally, kill her."

"Honestly, I can't say I'm surprised she's done so well int he lab." Kaia admitted. Before Levi could ask anything about why she said that though, she continued.

"She's paid her way through University like what? six? Times in the past few decades, and continues to do it, still. all to 'Further her knowledge' when she really doesn't need to. Most of what she's learned is via her own experimentation." She told him.

"She used to be a bartender to make the money for school, when Mom would have totally paid for them, and made every bar she's worked at WAY too much money."

"Yeah, well, Kiah's a stubborn mule sometimes." Kaia commented with a light laugh.

"Which isn't too terribly surprising, but I grew up with her." She added.

"I can see if there's anything else, if you have a hard time with that, but if not? You got a very effective thing you could get her." She continued.

"And generally? They won't break the bank either, if that's a concern. I don't know what kind of finances you have."

"Ususally when I happen to call at a time where she's stressed as fuck about you." Kaia admitted.

"Like when she was first finding out just how bad those mana blockers she gave you were." She added.

"Girl's still beating herself up for that one." She muttered before pausing.

"Birthday? Get her a new kalimba. She was just telling me that hers was caught in a mini explosion from an experiment, and was destroyed."
