Alice just laughed.

"Sydney taught you a lot of what you know, if I recall correctly." She commented.

"So yeah, she'd be a good choice, I'm sure." She paused a moment before sighing.

"However, trying to catch her is... not easy."

"Honestly, I would have come to you first, were it not for the fact that ... well... Aunt rocky's more level in terms of emotions, and I thought you'd deny me because family." Alice admitted.

"And if you'd said no, I'd have gone to ask Ashleigh, to see if SHE would have agreed with it." She added with a laugh.

"then Sydney... and I would have gone to where Kiah works if I had to."

"Not... sure why I didn't start with you though. You ARE good at hand to hand, and it's not something that is unknown. You've always been pretty damned proud of it, even."

Alice nodded.

"Duly noted. Also, I'll let you know later if I'm actually looking forward to this, or if it's all you right now." she commented with a light chuckle.

"Someone eager for this?" she then asked, her voice curious, but knowing. She knew what she was feeling, and knew that at least half of it was from him.

Alice nodded.

"Can do." She said.

"thank you. For now, I'm going to head home and hop into the jacuzzi." She added after a moment or two.

"Unless you need me for anything?"

"Is there anything I should make sure to do ro bring or anything?" Alice asked after a moment or two.

"Because I will. I'll also field Mom and Dad possibly coming to harp on you about this." She added a second later, thinking about it.

"Just let me know what you want me to do."

Alice didn't say anything for a moment, before shrugging.

"Sure thing, boss." She said simply.

"Might be worthwhile to set up a schedule for this."

"Yeah, I'm sore, but I'm good." Alice said.

"However, I'll harass you tomorrow." She added with a nod.

"So when you said that we'd take a break before continuing, did you mean that it'd be overnight? Asking for clarification. I took that as a short break and then we'd continue."

".... fair." Alice said before just looking around the area they were in.

"Thank you." She added.

"Anyway. We continuing today or hold off til later?"

Alice nodded.

"That's the intention." She said before sighing.

"I do hope that Aunt Rocky doesn't give you a hard time." She commented.

"But yeah.. thanks."

"That's why I'm here.." Alice told him honestly.

"Mom can hold her own in a fight. Hell, Dad can. I know Vicki can, she's gotten into a few fights at school, although never any trouble for it." She continued.

"and I just... I'm the only one I know of that can't, and I hate it. It's not so much that I regret the past. It's more that I don't want my past to be my future."

"Exactly! That's what I'm thinking." She said before pausing.

"And... and I feel like maybe I wouldn't have been knocked down so badly if I had've actually been able to defend myself properly..." She then said, referring to when she was attacked by the teacher.

"... Just.... maybe, maybe I would have been able to DO something, and not have to be saved by my sister."

"I hate being the weaker of the two of us." She admitted after a few seconds.

Alice paused a moment before shrugging, and nodding.

"Yeah, sure." She said.

"And I dunno about refreshing. I hurt like a bitch, but I get that's gonna be my life for a bit with this." She added before pausing.

"And thank you... no one else would really give me the chance to explain why I want to. Aunt Rocky just didn't want to, because she thought the whole empath thing would actually be a detriment, Demi refuses to go against her mother, and Jaden has no clue what the hell he's doing with hand to hand."

Alice was silent for a few seconds, debating what he said.

"all right. Get me a blindfold." She stated, her voice calm, serious.

"Do that, and let's see how I do. Just take care to not kill me, please."

Alice didn't say anything for a moment before sighing.

"I always thought I had good reflexes." She commented as she got to her feet, a slight wince to her movements, but nothing too major.
