@Totalanimefan: Me too, honestly. (especially in the case of my MIL lol!) And yeah, very true. Especially in Florida. people are crazy, inattentive, and not always good drivers, so at least if i do (god forbid) get hit, they can't say they couldn't see me lol
@Totalanimefan: Yeah, it took me a long time to realize that not all moms are the same. Also my mom's love language is gift giving, so she's always trying to buy me things.
Speaking of, she's now bought me a travel air pump, a water bottle holder, holographic stickers to put on my helmet(which will hopefully make it look less dumb while also making it safer for night time riding), an additional light for the back of my bike, reflective things for the spokes, reflective rim stickers, and pepper spray. I only asked for the water bottle holder and said maybe we should get reflective stickers for our helmets. she got herself everything but the water bottle holder too.
@Totalanimefan: Yeah, i got lucky in the mom department, i think.

Oh cool! I rode my bike to 7-11 and put the proper amount of air in the tires and then rode it home and it was so much easier. I've noticed i like riding at night when there's no traffic. My mom's buying some reflective stickers to put on our helmets, as well as a light up sash for me to wear at night so drivers can see me well.
@Totalanimefan: Yeah, it's unfortunate, but she and i talk almost every day. In fact when she doesn't hear from me for a couple days (cause i like sleep and miss her messages or forget to respond) she messages my husband to have me call her lol Every time she comes to visit we have a lot of fun, actually. She likes to make plans for when she visits, and they're pretty well written out. In fact right now she has a google calendar she shares with me that has our plans, with times we do things, including driving times, as well as what we're having for dinner while she's here.

So the bike turns out that the front fender was able to be adjusted so it no longer rubs against the tire, and the basket came a couple days ago, so no need to replace the bike, which is nice. I assembled the bike yesterday (and fixed the fender issue) and took it for a quick test ride, and it's great. It needs a little more air in the tires, but otherwise it's fine. It's a pedal assisted bike, so i have to keep pedaling to keep the motor going, but that's fine. there are lights that came with the bike, the tail light flashes when the brakes engage, which is cool, and the headlight is pretty bright. Also it has a horn that's pretty loud and obnoxious. I'm getting a helmet and bike lock delivered today at some point.
@Totalanimefan: I wish. No, She lives in Idaho(i grew up there). She comes to see me about once a year, or i'll go see her (and her side of the family, and my old friends). She's coming to visit april 16-26th, and when she vacations she likes to try to do things. So we're going to disney with her, Tyi's going 2 of the 4 days we're going, Then she and i are going to Discovery Cove. I LOVE swimming so i'm excited about it, and Discovery Cove is so cool because it's snorkeling. We went a few years ago in like 2018 i think and did the dolphin swim thing, which was cool. Dolphins feel like wet kickboards (I could go on about them for a minute lol). Then She and i are going to cocoa beach to go paddle boarding, sailing, and to the kennedy space center (tyi doesn't like swimming or water sports, and he's been to the KSC), then back to orlando for Universal and then a pirates dinner show (like medieval times, but pirates). She says next time we will do less. We will see lol

So we got an electric bike my mom ordered me today a few days early, but i have to return it and then order another one because she ordered one with a basket on the back, this one has a rack, and the front fender is bent so it rubs against the tire and makes an annoying noise that i'm sure isn't good for the tire. So i unpacked it, and then repacked it into the box, and that's about all i've done today. I'm about to go finish the quilt though.
@Totalanimefan: It was really good! minus the noodles, but that's just my own preference. my mom ordered a bunch of groceries for us last week so there's a few things i wouldn't normally buy.

Today i attached the quilt binding, almost reaallly messed it up when attaching the ends (i had to overlap the ends, measure 2.5 inches, cut the top layer, but i ended up cutting both layers) but i was able to save it, and now all i have left is to finish it. I have it all pinned and ready to finish tomorrow. When it's done i'll take a picture of it and share it here for you! The rest of my evening will be reserved to playing hogwarts legacy, probably.
@Totalanimefan: It was a good day. Today too. I finished making the binding for my quilt and pinned it to the quilt so it's ready to sew tomorrow (that took about 3 hours, i actually paid attention to when i started and finished!), and then i played hogwarts legacy as a new save and streamed it for my girlfriend for a couple hours. I also made spaghetti but instead of spaghetti noodles i used penne. It wasn't bad, but i don't care much for penne. The sauce needed doctored up a lot, so i cut up an onion, browned some turkey sausage (italian sausage flavored), and threw in a couple cans of diced tomatoes, and added a LOT of italian seasoning- like 1/4 cup or so. The sauce i had was just tomato sauce, no salt added, so i added my own salt and like half a cup of sugar (to cut the acidity). And then i let it simmer for like 30-45 minutes while i played hogwarts lol

@DreamerZ: -hugs- Idk if it's kindness or more of just a general understanding of how it goes sometimes. but either way, it's good to see you back.
@Totalanimefan: It was good. Today i did nothing but sleep and play hogwarts legacy. it's a really good game. I was going to finish my quilt, but i slept all day and by the time i was going to get to it my mother in law got home. And since i sew in the livingroom by her bedroom, i don't sew when she's home so i don't disrupt her. So, that's my goal for tomorrow lol
@Totalanimefan: I used to love riding my bike when i was younger. Deltona is really hilly though and there are a lot of goat heads around just waiting to pop some bike tires, so if i get a bike it would have to have those solid tires. In other news, i feel productive today- i even made breakfast! I made diced potatoes and onions and eggs with an over medium egg on top (for the runny yolk to mix in with the potatoes.). I rarely make breakfast to begin with, and when i do, it's never something like this where it was all from scratch. and then i cleaned the house and returned the uhaul, ran to the bank, and bought hogwarts legacy!

@DreamerZ: Hey bestie! Good to see you. No need to apologize, it happens. Holidays can be really stressful and can also put you in a weird headspace. No need to apologize for doing what you need to to get yourself back where you wanna be mentally.
@Totalanimefan: Yeah, we got everything, even if we didn't need it lol Yeah bikes are really expensive and i honestly didn't know they cost so much until i thought about buying myself one as an adult. I definitely believe in helmets because when i was like 7 or 8 i was riding my bike (without a helmet) with the neighbor boy and i fell and hit my head on a fire hydrant. I ended up having a mild concussion, but it knocked me out for a few hours. Like i couldn't keep my eyes open. My mom told me he ran to my home and got her and she came and picked me up and took me to a medical center for an mri. They made me try to stay awake during it but it was really hard for me to do so.
@Totalanimefan: nope. It doesn't help that bikes are like 2-300 dollars, plus whatever for accessories like baskets or lights and helmets. Also i don't think Tyi knows how to ride a bike, so there's that too, but he could always just get one of those adult tricycles.

So we went and got a uhaul pickup to go clean out my car before it was taken away, and i didn't realize just how much stuff i stored in my car and i am tired. it took us 2 hours to clean it out!
@Totalanimefan: no, they're not because it wasn't an actual accident and they say that it's my own fault for improper maintenance on my car or normal wear and tear on an older vehicle (it's a 2006). But at least we're getting a little over 400 for the car, so it's not a total loss.
@Totalanimefan: Yeah, she does, but she's not letting us just borrow it. She let us use it last night to run to the store, but that was it. She pissed me off when she got home because she started in on Tyi about his weight and it escalated a little (not like the vacuum incident) to where i had an anxiety/panic attack and actually walked out of the house. She is however taking us to go clean out my car before the company comes to junk it comes. At least we're getting some money for it. I'm just hoping that it's a nice day instead of a repeat of last night.
