here's the finished image of the temple i was building. The top layer was actually the easiest because it was small lol
@Totalanimefan: the tutorial is a video on youtube, so it's pretty easy to follow, but it's really annoying outside of creative because of all the "floating" blocks on the roofs.
I owe the library money, so that's currently out. I might see if i can find PDF versions though, because i'm sure they exist.
@Totalanimefan: So turns out i'm currently unable to read the series of unfortunate events books because they're not included with kindle unlimited. That being said, i haven't started another book yet, and instead the last few days, i've been playing minecraft and building a japanese style temple. it's like... 8+floors, and a pain in my rear since i am not building in creative and i keep falling and taking fall damage. so annoying. Also the roofs are annoying, and where i usually fall the most haha. I have been using scaffolding, which is helpful, but not perfect. I am close to being done, and will probably finish it tonight, maybe tomorrow (cause i need a break from it lol). (here's an image of the building so far: each curved roof hides a floor.)
@Totalanimefan: Oh nice! I've never been, but i also have never been anywhere north east. furthest north east i've been is wisconsin lol

@Wildfire: I feel that on a spiritual level, especially today. My husband's cousin and her multiple kids are coming today from nebraska, and i'm not mentally prepared.
@Totalanimefan: oh how fun! I hope you enjoy yourself!
@Totalanimefan: Thank you! I think the background really ties it all together! Uh.... Maybe in a week? i should be done with the last red queen book by then. My favorite brother in law just arrived for a visit for the weekend. He's going through some difficult stuff with his baby momma and i guess he needs a break. It's been a few years since he's been to florida, so i'm sure he'll enjoy his time here. Out of all of my sibling-in-laws, he's the most agreeable.

@Qiqi Agatha: Thank you! Yeah, it was pretty good. Had a relaxing day today, which was really nice, too!
@Justice: Thank you! Fun story about my birthday. Sunday night, my dad called me to wish me a happy birthday, thinking it was the 14th (probably cause my cousin in japan wished me a happy birthday on my facebook and i think dad panicked and thought he missed it lol) i didn't correct him, and today i told my sister about it and she told him and he was like "...... well.... I was just getting a head start, that's it! Yeahh... a head start!" It made me laugh.

Today is my birthday, and i don't have any real plans, since we went to my hub's grandparent's yesterday for mother's day/ birthday cake and gifts. I got new jewelry for my new tragus piercing, and a book with 8 quilt patterns, which i'm excited about. Also got some money from my mom and grandma (in the mail). Hubs and i MIGHT go see a movie today, but i don't know yet. If we do go we'll either see the mario movie or guardians of the galaxy 3. Not sure which yet. I think i'm leaning towards the Mario movie though cause Guardians will eventually be on dis+
@Totalanimefan: please do! I'd appreciate that. Yeah, it's super entertaining- definitely one of my favorite book series.
@Totalanimefan: i definitely will (if my adhd brain remembers lol). As for the red queen series, if you like dystopian novels, It's pretty good and i definitely recommend it if you get a chance.
Basically it's set in the future after there was some genetic mutation that caused half(?) the population to have silver blood, and with the silver blood, abilities. Those with red blood aren't supposed to have any abilities. It follows the story of Mare Barrow, a Red girl born and raised in the stilts, a red village on the river. She's a pick pocket and one night she picks the pocket of a stranger who catches her in the act, but instead of raising a fuss he gives her a crown(i imagine it to be worth like 10-20 bucks) and asks her more questions. He finds out after her next birthday, she's going to be conscripted to the war that's been going on for nearly a century. The next day she gets taken to the summer palace and is given a job as a server. She's doing her job during the Queenstrial, when one of the girls in the Queenstrial who manipulates metal causes the box Mare is in to lurch forward, causing mare to fall out and onto the electric barrier that's supposed to be there to protect the high houses from the show below. Mare thinks she's about to die, when instead something inside her releases and she harnesses the electricity. It Follows her story as she fights to bring equality to her people, as well to save the Newbloods- both red and silver and stronger than both.
@Totalanimefan: I have, but i haven't read all of the books. I think i got to the wide window (3rd book) and read part of the miserable mill, but i don't really remember. it was a LONG time ago and haven't gotten around to rereading and finishing the series. They are good books though.
I ended up not reading the trials of apollo yet because rick riordan has a habit of bringing previous books into his newer series since they're all written in the same storyverse. So instead i started rereading the red queen series by Victoria Aveyard. It's one of my favorites. I came across the books on accident at the library and read the first three only to find the last one hadn't come out yet, but was going to be released on my birthday that year (2018). So my husband bought it for me a couple days after my birthday that year. So i only have the 4th book, but ironically i haven't actually read it because i was in the middle of the 3rd book at the time and was waiting to finish that before i read the next one. Now it's packed away in boxes, in the garage. I really need to get a book case for all of my books....
