I couldn't vote, because my grandfather wouldn't let me for some reason..? I have my suspicions, but they'll stay suspicions because I don't want to bring up politics with him. My aunt offered to take me and then got snappy with me because I told her I wasn't registered because grandpa wouldn't ever take me to vote - if she wanted to ensure I could vote, she should've offered BEFORE. She kind of guilt tripped me about "the gays losing their rights" (I'm bi and trans..??? not sure what she was trying to achieve). I guess the guilt tripping worked because I feel AWFUL about it.

@0v7: I didn't get to vote one year because the polls messed up my polling place. Registered 4 times in 4 different ways and they still didn't change my address. This year I didn't vote because I couldn't make sense of the online option at all. Never received a mail in one and had the kids all day.

@Shadami: I think my grandfather didn't let me vote because he knew I'd vote blue :/ I wish I pushed it more but I'm afraid that he wouldn't respond well.
I just wish my aunt didn't guilt trip me about the loss of LGBT rights 'cause.. I'm LGBT, disabled, and an indigenous Mexican. She's not any of those things. >_>
