HERE'S MY TIP FOR GETTING SPECIAL DIYS
let your game idle in the background while you do other stuff, and just sit in one spot... occasionally balloons will pass right by you and you just hop up and get them before resuming what you were doing... usually its... just like, clay and hurts my soul but still, I got like 4-5 mush recipes in one day just doing that for a few hours

one of my big plants , tiny little mushrooms popped up in the soil lol ...... it was so cute but i wasn't sure if it was good or bad so i got rid of them lol ....

That was my method for getting the cherry blossom diys. Another tip is to know which direction your balloons come from at each time of the day. They swap direction at some point during the day

Can you get special DIYs from villagers? I think you can get 3 DIYs a day from villagers crafting :0

There was a cafe at my old job in Sacramento that would occasionally serve 5 mushroom soup. I don't know which 5, but I know I wish I had some right now. It was delicious.
