@Yixing: I did get Christmas off, yes. Plus a half day the day before. And we only had a half day of work for new years eve, and had new years day off. Plus, I have today off normally, so that's nice :)

@Turtle Sensei: Here you go ... https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3636/1/Oswiecim It's part of a series as well, though most of the stories can be read as stand-alone fanfictions. They tend to reference each other, but not to the point of being confusing. And each one is absolutely amazing.

@Turtle Sensei: Honestly, I read more fanfiction than regular books these days. There are some absolutely amazing writers who stick solely to fanfiction. Plus, it's always easy to access fanfiction from anywhere. I write -some- fanfiction, but it's mostly Harry Potter. I am working on a Star Trek: Voyager / Battlestar: Galatica crossover fanfiction, and another one where Sherlock Holmes (BBC) is Harry Potter's biological father.

@Turtle Sensei: The entire series is absolutely amazing. That, and the series where Julian Bashir of Star Trek: Deep Space 9 ends up in Auschwitz, are my two favorite fanfictions. I usually read Harry Potter fanfiction almost exclusively, but those two? Holy crap. The writing is phenomenal.

@Turtle Sensei: One of my favorite fanfiction is actual a TMNT one ... Bad Places, by Goblin Kat KC. It has Leonardo breaking under the pressure of being the "perfect son", being experimented on, and his genetics being twisted until he is slowly becoming one of the monsters he fought against while he was kidnapped and forced to fight in a twisted "game" for months on end. It's an incredibly good series - 3 book length fanfictions of incredibly high quality writing.

@Yixing: I wish I didn't! I would give anything to have less hours. Seriously. I work 40 hours because that's the minimum. If I could work less, I would grab it in a heart beat.

@Night XIV: My sister-in-law - also my best friend - is so in love with Nightmare Before Christmas stuff, that it was an obvious choice. I kinda wish I had more choices for her, obviously. It's either mom stuff, or Nightmare Before Christmas. There is no in between!
