Posted in I'm watching Muppets Christmas Carol Posted 3 years ago

i ended up watching both muppet christmas carol and muppet family christmas. almost forgot how much i liked the muppet christmas carol but this thread reminded me lol

I haven't made a resolution yet; seems like no matter what it is, it always fails. Maybe my resolution should be not to set expectations for myself. :^P

@YukiThePanda: Aye, that's fine. And I'm cool with just seeing it when it's done!

Posted in Trashy Art Request Posted 3 years ago

@YukiThePanda: I went by your IRL prices and just mathed out the approximate value of items to dollars ;v; As far as what art is worth on the site, it's largely based on offers and pay-what-you-want from what I've seen, so it's hard to value based on shop prices alone. The stuff I'm offering adds up to ~56k in volts, give or take depending on how you value certain items (I usually go with the middle of price guide ranges), which seems pretty in line with what I'd expect to pay on here for full body art of similar quality.

As for digital or traditional, both look nice to me. I based my offer on the pricing for digital, but as long as it's colored I'm happy with either.

No worries; 11 hour shift sounds pretty rough, even with the break. I get busy with work and whatnot, myself, so there's no rush to reply right away bc I probably won't either lol

Posted in Post your Rants Posted 3 years ago

I shoulda known! Right after my previous rant, I got a sudden and suspiciously high amount of good luck. My mounting problems were, if not outright resolved, at least substantially eased to the point of being manageable. The biggest problem being that my move might have been canceled, but turned out it wasn't! ...But now, right when I let my guard down enough to dare to be happy again, once again, I get blindsided by crappy news and now my move might--again--actually be canceled. Because of someone else's screwup, again. I'm so sick of all these issues that aren't even my fault just piling on because nobody else can be assed to do things right in my life. And I'm so sick of it always happening right when I start thinking maybe I can trust things to work out. How stupid of me. Of course nothing will ever get better; nothing ever really changes.
There's still a small chance for it to be worked out, but I know better than to hold my breath for it this time. As I should have known the last time, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that...

I'm also on the Clip Studio Paint train. I just got it this year when I got a new computer and Sai didn't work for me any more. I wouldn't even go back now if I could. I'm still learning how to use it, but so far it's a pretty great program and wasn't that expensive. I wouldn't dare sign up for an art program with monthly fees unless it was mandatory for a job or something. Seems like a ripoff tbh.

Posted in Mtn Dew Zero Sugar vs Diet Mtn Dew Posted 3 years ago

I'm lucky not to be diabetic; I can't stand the taste of most sugar-free things that are sweetened with "something else".. plus they give me a stomach ache. That said, I still buy sugar-free energy drinks sometimes because I need the boost but don't need the ridiculous amount of sugar they normally have. I'm kinda in love with Bang, even though it's not the best-tasting drink out there.

As far as Mountain Dew goes, I don't even remember the last time I had one. I always liked the taste, but I've never been really big into sodas in the first place, and since cutting out (or at least severely cutting back on; I'm not gonna pretend I never give in) high fructose corn syrup and artificial colors, I don't really buy them any more. When I do want soda, I'm more of a cola person--and it's much easier to find in a naturally colored/flavored form than dew.

...but now you got me kinda wanting it and wondering if it's as good as i remember.

Posted in I work at a bakery and it's killing my energy Posted 3 years ago

I don't, but I've thought about it off and on over the years. I really like things like baking, cooking, cake decorating, etc... but I don't know if I have what it takes to actually work in a bakery lol. If it's not a quiet hobby I can do in my own time, I'm not sure how much I'd actually enjoy it then. Guess it would depend on the individual place and the people you'd be working with/for...

I can imagine holiday season would be especially rough for you, though. I work in a grocery store and it gets ridiculous around this time, especially when people start calling out every day.

Posted in What did you get for Christmas/The Holidays? Posted 3 years ago

@Totalanimefan: not sure, but there's a ton of recipes out there to try.. probably a lot of rice-based dishes in our future since i'm currently too lazy to make rice in a normal pot
