@Violet:

4 Adjectives salty, burning, nutritious, disgraceful
3 Verbs bite, follow, inhale
2 Adverbs rudely, tediously
2 Nouns stick, pillowcase
2 Emotions horrified, upset
1 Voltra NPC Vregory
1 Sound PBBBT

idk if this has been mentioned, but all the facial hair layers over noses rather than under them. Makes it impossible to use mustaches with certain noses.

Would also be really useful if we could equip mustaches and beards at the same time, but I suppose I'll survive if that just can't be done ;v;

@xvz: HMMMMMMMMMMMM... never thought much about process tbh but lemme try.

1- Reason for making character: If story or RP based, what role are they filling? If design only, what is the main source of inspiration?
2- Major aspects of appearance: What is most important to their look? What makes most sense for their role/story, or what concepts do I most want to use? Could be any trait like nationality, color scheme, species, clothing style, occupation...
3- Personality: What kind of person are they? What are their basic likes/dislikes, hobbies, etc?
4- Minor aspects of appearance: Tweaks and smaller details to better reflect personality and lifestyle
5- Backstory: Where do they come from/how do they fit into the story/how did they get there?
6- Details: Fine-tuning and stuff a lot of people wouldn't really think or care about that makes the character more of an individual. Favorites, details or their past, quirks and habits, answers to what-ifs, who their friends are, how they feel about certain topics or events, and so on. This can go on indefinitely, depending on how long I've had the character/how much they're used, and can cause future changes to their designs, driving character evolution over time.

My oldest story characters have been through so many changes, they're not even the same character any more as I've molded them from "random design I liked at the time" to "fleshed out character who has a purpose and a world to fit into". The ones who started out being made for a particular world and purpose have, understandably, changed less. The ones who have remained "design and vague personality/backstory only", which I just keep for making/getting art of and don't really belong to a story or RP, aren't as prone to change unless I get bored lol

@xvz: Making characters is one of my favorite things lol I should probably consider doing adopts or something since I make more than I can use :'U

AND THIS SKEEVER IS BEAUTIFUL. Colors, expression, you got his vibe just right, thank you!

@xvz: excellent. Added your art to their profiles! I'd be curious to see your characters if you have them :o

@xvz: aaaaaaaaaa I love these tysm And I also look forward to seeing what you do with Skeever!
If you have a Toyhouse profile, what username should I credit so I can put your art on their profiles?

@xvz: Skeever is p good, hard to go wrong with him. He's weird and chaotic but very chill and sweet natured. Design notes since there's not much on his profile: you can play around with the colored part of his hair; he dyes it a different color every week. Can be spiked into a mohawk or just left fluffy. His favorite colors are pink and mint green, has kind of a pastel-washed old school punk aesthetic when he bothers to dress up. Not unusual for him to be covered in dirt and/or bruises. He's lanky and can probably outrun you. Always seems kind of dreamy. Drummer, casual shoplifter, ferret owner, dumpster diver, but all around very nice boy.

jfdk;lafjd;a I really like Rosemary and Clove but I have yet to really decide what to do with them. we'll see, though, they're still new...

and I've been holding onto my last spare tree spirit for just such an occasion. gonna go ahead and send the trade now so I wont' lose track of my stuff later and you can accept it whenever you're ready.

@xvz: sounds good to me! i do have a lot of non humans but there's a couple humans and people with human forms in there... let me go ahead and do the form thing.

@xvz:
username: Count Trashula
reference: any of these or these
pose/expression (optional): whatever vibe you get from the char you pick, you can ask me for specifics if you want
sketch or color?: color
offer: 25k, tree spirit, and aries (can add more if needed)
anything else?: let me know if you need anything like more detailed info or clearer refs, etc i don't have a lot of pics of my chars rn but I can easily answer questions or whip up sketches if necessary

hopefully one of them will speak to you lol

@xvz:
hellooooo
First off, your art is beautiful! If you're still taking orders/commissions/whatever you call em, are there any particular preferences you have for what you do/don't want to draw? I have a handful of different characters I've been wanting art of for a while now.

@Totalanimefan: I've heard of these, but haven't actually thought to try them. Maybe in the future...

Posted in Good Roadtrip Foods Posted 4 years ago

@Totalanimefan: I'mma have to try that whenever we move, since we'll probably be splitting the driving... I get motion sickness so badly, it's pretty debilitating. Ginger and stuff like that works in short bursts or when I'm the driver (it's so bad sometimes I even get sick behind the wheel, but never as strong); people I've known who only get very mild motion sickness/don't get it often swear by it. But I usually need something much stronger when I'm riding in the car with someone else. :'^( I am afraid to try going on a boat without a pill. Haven't done so since I was little and spent the entire boat ride laying down praying for death lmao but being sleepy ruins the fun of being on the water

Anything that comes in a single-serving size that won't melt/crumble or go bad easily. Pre-make sandwiches and put em in little baggies in the cooler alongside some juice or water bottles (coconut water is great to bring if you enjoy it). Nuts, dried fruit, jerky, protein bars, all good. Nothing that would require napkins, straws, plates, or chip clips if it can be avoided.
Also, I'd take hard peppermint candies and/or lemon wedges to suck on, and anything with plenty of ginger in it (ginger ale and ginger candy are easy to find) if you're worried about possibly getting motion sickness but don't normally get it very badly. Motion sickness pills are OK if you don't plan on being the one driving that day, but they can definitely affect you for a good while, so I would save them for times when motion sickness is gonna be a serious concern.

Gemini sun, Capricorn moon, Sagittarius rising--and from what I've read, they all fit pretty well.

Everyone I've met who calls it baloney has never done more than glance at a newspaper horoscope.
