I did a semi-homemade thing where I made Cardamon buns. I had them at a bakery in London and I can’t find them anywhere in the Bay Area. They are like cinnamon buns but cardamon instead. They have an amazing warmth to them.
I decided to make a semi-homemade version cause I’m not yet about that bread making life. I’m too impatient. Lol I bought refrigerated biscuit dough and then made my own filling. I used
3 Tablespoons of Salted Butter
3 Tablespoons of Cane Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon of Ground Cardamon (this is to taste, so if you need more add some)
-Cream your filling ingredients
-Roll out your biscuit dough
(Don’t put it into the normal triangle shape they come in.)
-put the creamed mixture onto the dough in a thin but even coat
-roll up the dough
-once it’s rolled cut it in half, and cut it in half again
-form into a proper shape and place on a non-stick baking sheet
-cook according to biscuit directions
I’m still working out the recipe and the technique but I thought that I would share it with you.
