Cain was... flabbergasted, to say the least.

He couldn't believe what he was hearing, but the raw emotion in Angela's tone told him it had to be true. But it was still quite unbelievable.

"I... I understand." he said.

"Not why Zeke has felt the need to do this and be this way, but I understand what is being asked of me." he told her.

He then thought for a moment, and snapped his fingers.

"I can say I'm here to observe your fae. Take notes and such for future potential alchemical works." he suggested.

"Just for an explanation as to why I'll be hanging around here."

"Collect whatever information is needed." Angela said with a soft smile.

"I'll make sure they agree with you on that, as well." She added with a light sigh. "Shouldn't be an issue, but I'll still try and ensure it."

"For now... just... thank you, Cain." She added with a light sigh.

"I'm not sure what it is that I can do here, either. That's the scary thing."

"Do you want me to hang around for a bit?" Cain then asked. Angela looked about ready to argue it before pausing.

". . . actually..." She started.

"I would. I ... need to return the sword to Yuri, and while I had intended to call him here, I can take it to him." She continued.

"Shouldn't take me long, if you want to hang around?"

Cain nodded in response.

"Of course." he replied.

"I can stay here for... well, as long as you need me to." he told her.

"You do what you need to." he said.

He then sighed quietly, and shook his head.

"None of this makes any sense, though." he admitted.

"Why would Zeke be acting this way? It's... it's just not making any sense." he muttered.

"Damn it, this is confusing and concerning."

Angela just sighed. IT was heavy, weighted, and had a lot within that one breath.

"I know.... It's also a bit on the terrifying side." She admitted.

"He's a nephilim and stupid powerful."

"I just... have no idea what it is that is going on, but he attacked me and I can't let him into this house."

He then sighed, and took another drink.

"Anyway, you... go do what you feel you must." he told her.

"I'll be here until you don't need me here any longer." he said.

He looked around, before shaking his head.

"For what it's worth, I'm sorry this is happening to you." he then told her.

"I'll be back quick as I can be, Cain." angela said with a soft smile before pausing.

"... actually... nvermind." She then said with a sigh.

"I don't have the mana to go there myself." She added with a heavy sigh before sitting at the table with her mobile.

"I ... have to admit, I hate this." She admitted while typing with one hand.

Cain was silent as Angela said what she did.

"I..." he stammered.

"...yeah." was all he managed to get out.

He didn't know what he could say here. So he didn't bother trying.

Angela didn't get a response on her cell phone. However, within a minute of her sending it, there was a very strong mana presence in her backyard suddenly.

"Woah." Cain mumbled.

"Yep, that's strong." he said.

Angela paused a moment.

"Being half demon, you ... may or may not want to take off." She told him.

"I texted Zeke's dad." She added, realising that there was a decent chance she hadn't needed to outright say it though. there was a decent chance he already realised it.

"I'll be back in a moment, if you're hanging around." She paused a moment, "If not, I will let you know when I'm heading to work tomorrow. Will probably be early though, as there is a really good chance I'm going to go to try and contact Hal before he's properly busy." She added.

"Anyway, thank you." With that, she got to her feet and made her way to the door out and stepping outside.

"Hey Yuri." She said with a wave before motioning for him to come inside, and stepping in herself.

Yuri started to step in, but stopped... and looked around.

"...Cain!?" he called in.

"I know!" they heard Cain call back.

"I'm gone in a second!" he told them.

"Talk to you later, Angela!" he then said, before they both felt his mana presence disappear from the house.

"Right then." Yuri then said, stepping into the house, fully.

"My presence here would probably be a bit much for the boy." he told Angela.

"Anyway, what's this about Ezekiel?" he then asked her.

Angela was silent as the exchange happened, and after Yuri asked what he did.

"I don't know what is going on with him." She started with as she sighed, heavily.

". . . he's.... " She paused.

"Yuri... just... " She shook her head before getting to her feet and heading off. She returned a minute or so later and set Zeke's sword on the table.

". . . I just wanted to return this."

Yuri found himself very confused for a moment, as Angela didn't seem able to complete a full sentence. However, when she came back and put Zeke's sword on the table, his expression hardened.

"......" he was silent, before picking it up, which was when she saw him freeze.

"Angela." he said.

"This blade... it's actually quite special." he told her.

"It's not alive. Far from it. But it DOES possess... well... let's call it a 'will' of its own." he continued.

"And from what I'm reading from this... it was almost used to do something it didn't WANT to. So it stopped the wielder from doing it." he went on.

"Angela, what's happened?"

Angela just sighed before sitting down.

". . . . " She didn't say anything until Yuri spoke again.

"Angela, if you don't talk, the sword will." was all he said. Angela sighed, heavily.

". . . He was copying something from the computers at work, copying them to an external he had." She started.

"I tried to stop him... and he pulled his sword on me."

"..........." Uriel was stunned for a moment to hear that.

"...he did." he said.

"Well, then." he growled.

"I suppose it's time I have a little... chat... with my son." he went on, causing the blade to lift up for a moment, and disappear into thin air.

"Find out what in the name of Heaven and Hell he's doing." he continued.

"...tell me." he then said.

"Did he hurt you?" he asked, narrowing his eyes at her.

Angela was silent for a moment before sighing.

"May have fractured my wrist." She told him honestly.

"Don't do anything about it though. If he shows up again... I want to see if he has any guilt." She added.

"If he has guilt... then dammit, I'm going to enjoy watching him suffer in it for a bit." There was a darkness to her voice, but Yuri knew her well enough by this point that he could tell it was born from the fear. Fear, and possibly a very lowkey degree of hatred. The question though, was what the hatred was directed toward.... his son, or that it had happened in the first place?

"...." Uriel was silent for a moment, suppressing a shudder.

He was an archangel. One of the strongest, arguably. Angela was little more than a human with some fae mana in her.

Yet at that moment, he swore he felt the smallest shiver of fear threaten to go up his spine.

'Hell hath no fury...' he thought to himself.

"I see." he then managed to say.

"Very well, I will acquiesce to your terms." he told her.

"However, I WILL step in if need be. And I WILL be keeping a VERY close eye on both him and you." he went on.

"...and Liv as well." he then added.

"Something doesn't seem right, here." he continued on. "This behaviour is not like him, nor is it like an archangel. And his genetics as a nephilim wouldn't cause this, either..." he mumbled.

"This is unnerving in all the wrong ways." he then growled.

"That's all I ask, Yuri." Angela said with a soft smile.

"I just... I don't want anything to happen to Liv." She admitted.

"And... I know. This isn't right. I don't know what's going on with Zeke. I've never not felt safe around him." She added befpre pausing.

". . . he even threatened me before leaving, saying that if I were to talk to anyone about this, I'd suffer... and I honestly felt at the time - and still do now - that he'll follow through on that. " She let out a heavy breath here, but didn't say anything more for a few seconds.

". . . . If I'm being honest, I'm terrified.. .

"......." again, Yuri was silent.

But he stepped forward and silently wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close.

"Angela." he said.

"I promise you, you are now under my protection." he told her.

"Ezekiel is strong... but not as strong as me." he went on.

And Angela could feel it. In his embrace and in his words. She felt like she really was under the protection of the archangels.

Angela didn't say anything, just wrapped her arms around him. He could tell she was scared, knowing that Zeke could do whatever he wanted to her with little difficulty. He wasn't properly of this plane, she was. He definitely had a strength benefit on her - plus her mana wasn't really offensive.

"Oh... right.." She said as she stepped back and brought her non injured hand up. As she did so, a figure appeared above it, formed from mana.

'Here. If you want to see what he's doing... I marked him." She said, holding it out for him to take.

"Thank you." he said.

"Sorry for what's happening." he apologised.

"But I promise I will keep you and Olivia safe." he told her.

"And we WILL find out what's going on." he assured her.

"...and if necessary... Ezekiel will be brought to harsh justice."

"Thank you, Uriel... thank you so much. " Angela said, and he could hear the sincerity in her voice, clear as day.

"Just... thank you."

She sighed as she made her way into the entranceway of the Unit, a bit apprehensive - and visibly so at that. It was stupid early, and one of the night shift was still there.

She was able to get through easily enough, before sighing and heading in deeper to the building. She made her way up to Hal's office, found he wasn't in. Even the receptionist area wasn't unlocked yet, so she just leaned against the wall across from the door... and waited.
