it's been p cold and gloomy here this week but i think it's gonna be nicer next week :0

one of my friends dressed up as kiki for halloween today!!! so cute ^^
the last miyazaki movie i watched was howl's moving castle, i'll have to rewatch the rest sometime since it's been a while!

Thanks everyone. I think this was the first time I ever dressed up in something that matched someone else. I’ve never done a pair or group costume before. It was fun!

HOWL’S MOVING CASTLE is one of my all time favorite movies. It’s based on a book with the same title, which is also really wonderful. Howl’s moving castle is my favorite of the movies by studio Ghibli, but every thing they do is great.

i think spirited away is my personal favorite, the rest i haven't seen in super long tho
i think miyazaki has retired from making movies now? i haven't seen his last one yet though ... but i think studio ghibli should still be around

also just curious how do ppl pronounce ghibli?? i say gib-lee :0

I've heard it pronounced so many different ways that i no longer know the correct pronunciation and i switch back and forth. xD

he has retired i believe yes, but his son is animating? i believe?

and I've been playing ni no kuni curse of the white witch since it's a ghibli game xD

According to the internet it's ジブリ which is Ji Bu Ri. the i in japanese is always an eee sound, so it would be geeblee. It's apparently an Italian word that miyazaki liked though, so it's a Japanese take on an Italian word. So.... say it however you want?

It is amazing. they just came out with a second game. . . a year ago? two years ago now? omg time is weird right now i don't even know.
It's nowhere near as good as the first but still amazing from what i hear. Haven't been able to play the second yet.
