Rocky just laughed as he said all he did.

"Ok, first off.... Thank you. I love hearing people like, or even that they dislike, my blends." She said.

"And of course I'm going to be more level headed. So what. You're a djinn. Big whoop. I'm more amazed that you're standing there than that you're a djinn... because... I honestly thought that there were none around anymore." She admitted.;

"Oh, and I have a lycan for a daughter and a vamp for a grand-daughter. Trust me, you being a djinn doesn't faze me."

Hal just laughed a little.

"Sounds like you have a very... diverse... family." he commented.

"And we are very few in number." he then told her, in reference to her comment about djinn. "A single-digit number, if I recall." he went on.

"Regardless, thank you." he repeated.

"I'm sure this will be a godsend for Hollie."

Rocky just laughed.

"Yeah, I'm not surprised. It really would be a godsend, most likely. I know she can get absolutely brutal hangovers." She commented.

"Be sure to make some up for yourself as well. You look more htna a little rough around the edges. Pretty sure you're feeling better than she though."

"You said it." Hal responded.

"I'm feeling it. This should help." he told her.

"Oh yeah, and Vincent can't come back here for another 24 hours." he then said.

"Seeing as I'm guessing you were where I dropped him off." he went on.

"Yeah, Djinn magic and mana is... stupidly strong." he continued.

"By the way, I'm Hal. Hal Sharp." he then properly introduced himself.

"At your service." he finished, taking a courteous and respectful bow.

Rocky was silent before just blinking as Hal did what he did.

"Uhhh... right hen." She said before shrugging.

"Rocky Fyrane." She said with a light chuckle.

"Anyway, let me know if you need anything more." She said.

"I should head back before Vincent is losing his shit about me being gone for awhile."

Hal just rolled his eyes.

"You do what you need to do." he told her.

"And I'll do what I need to." he said.

"Which is... make up this tea, and make sure Hollie has some." he mumbled.

"Anyway, good look in dealing with Remmington." he wished her.

"He'll be... pretty steamed as is, and odds are he won't be cooling down anytime soon."

Rocky sighed.

"Ain't that the truth?" She asked rhetorically.

"Sometimes... I really wish that had my own place... that wasn't in his basement." She said before pausing, realising what had just come out of her mouth, and who she was speaking to

"And do NOT take that as a legit wish. It's a turn of phrase. He's just... when he gets irate about something... can't talk him down sometimes." She then said.

"I mean it though. do NOT do anything." there was a certain sternness to her voice that promised quite a bit of pain if he were to try and actually do something about that 'wish' of hers.

Hal just put up his hands defensively.

"Hey, hey, all right." he said.

"Relax, I'm not the sort to do such a thing." he told her.

"I'm a freed djinn. Means I have the freedom to choose to NOT grant wishes if they are spoken." he assured her.

"Besides, your phrasing made it obvious you were just venting." he added.

"But hey... if you ever DO want or need a place of your own, with NO effort on your behalf..." he then added, trailing off a bit and smirking slightly.

"I will keep that in mind." Rocky said.

"Anyhow, I will leave you to take care of Hollie. I have someone else to tend to, it seems." She then said with a light sigh

"See ya." She said before waving and vanishing from where she was.

She appeared in her den, landing rather gracefully and looking around.

Hal nodded as Rocky said what she did, and vanished.

"Right, time to make some of this up." he said.

Meanwhile, when Rocky appeared back in the den, and looked around, she saw Vincent sitting in one of the couches, looking right at where she was.

"Hello again, Racquel." he greeted the woman.

"So, did you manage to do what you set out to do?" he asked her.

Rocky was silent.

"Yes. And why are you in my apartment? You agreed this was my space, and you would not enter unless explicitly allowed by me." She stated.

"Are you forsaking that now?"

"My apologies." Vincent responded.

"But I'm very concerned right now." he said.

"There is a djinn, and he has his claws in my sister." he told her, getting up.

"I am naturally very concerned." he went on.

"I have no idea what will come of this, but it won't be anything good." he then added.

Rocky just sighed lightly.

"Well, just wait and see what the future holds." Was all she said in response. She wasn't going to try and come up with anything else though, striclty because of the fact that there was nothing else she could think of for the moment.

"Anyway, I'm going to go have a shower. She's fine, last I saw." She added before smirking as she started to walk off.

"And Hal's a pretty chil.l guy!" She called before entering the bathroom with a laugh.

"That's what he wants you to think!" Vincent called back.

"Djinn's are trickster manipulators by nature!" he warned.

"They've fooled many a people in the past." he warned further.

"You'll see." he said.

"Sooner or later... you'll see."

It was nearly the one year mark since Hollie and Hal had become 'official', before she sighed.

"So I'm thinking I'll do dinner tonight instead of us going out." She told him.

"You cool with that?"

Hal looked at Hollie, and nodded.

"Of course." he replied.

"I'm cool with that." he told her.

"What are you thinking of making?" he asked her.

He noticed she seemed on edge, and he could guess why... but he didn't want to press anything right now.

"A casserole that was my Mothers recipe." Hollie said with a light sigh.

"A casserole that I know Vincent has not had in generations... and I'm hoping it'll work as abribery for him to be ... civil." She added with a shake of her head.

"Because I figure... double date that tomorrow. Invite him and Rowena."

Hal sighed in response.

"I see." he replied.

"Well, -I- have no issues with that." he told her.

"Rowena is a sweetheart." he said.

"And... I can only hope Vincent will be civil as well."

"That is why I'm hoping for the bribery to work." Hollie admitted.

"Well, I shall go contact Rowena, and ... hope for the best, I suppose." She added with a light sigh.

A little bit later, Rowena knocked on Vincent's study door. When he beckoned her to enter, she poked her head in.

"Hey. We've been invited to dinner at Hollie's tomorrow night. Wanna go?"

Vincent had not forgotten about Hal... but he had pushed it out and away. And as such, he was not suspicious when Rowena had asked him the question.

"Dinner?" he asked.

"Sure!" he replied.

"It's been a while since we've eaten together." he commented.

"Should we bring anything?" he asked her.
