I have a personal connection with this thread because I found a cat almost 4 years ago on the side of the road at 2 weeks old. I raised that kitten and I love him. He loves me and thinks that I'm his momma.
He's my first rescue kitten. I have adopted pets in the past, but that was from the pound.

our cat was adopted from the humane society, and was already older when my mom adopted him, but he reached out his paw to her when she walked by, so she got him

@Totalanimefan: Yes, he's a sweet void boy, and likes to follow us around and hang out. If I stay up late and sleep in, he comes to yell at me to wake up, but then will nap with me if I refuse, lol

I adopted my cat back in March when he was 9 years old, I actually made a thread here I think with pictures and stuff krhfhfjfid he turned 10 years old at the end of May :D

@kaichoukai: awww, I love when people adopt adult kitties, since they tend to stay longer at shelters, and they already know what it's like to live with a family, so probably miss it more. People love to adopt kittens, so there's not the same risk of lingering at the shelter, as long as they're old enough to survive without mom

I’m about to switch from my iPad to my phone so I’ll share some pictures of my old man. But I Absolutely adore older animals, and the thing with cats is they live... long Lives. Like I don’t doubt my man Scout will live to be at least 18-20.
