Raxton is smaaaaart. I didn’t even realize it looked like someone was trying to fix it. But Garry is a good baby and would prolly confess if asked. Your theory of one of the other VPD trying to fix his mistake is also pretty good, especially since it sounds like such a parental move, and one of the VPD members is a dad...
Buuuuut still thinking it was Volkan who did it, and maybe Vanora is trying to cover up for her dad because it’s just another thing he messed up.

Oh shiet, and Volkan was wearing a different colored shirt than he usually does... which means it prolly got ruined when he wrecked the statue...
I’m sure Vanora is the one who provided him a fresh new shirt too... and while he was changing, she got all the items to try and fix the situation. She prolly stopped when she realized she was making it worse or someone interrupted her from finishing...

and they make it sound like Volkan is clean by the statement "he was never alone at any point"
it is also possible that all the 3 of them are covering for Volkan as well?
