I’m from Florida and you can also get really good and fresh seafood there ^^;
@Vixen: I'm using clip studio paint. and i've been working my way through the brushes to try to learn them. I still haven't figured out the layer adjustment stuff yet. I figure I'll be tweaking with that at some point to try to learn.
Currently recovering from large amounts of PTSD. I'll post when I can, please ping for replies. Things are very difficult for me right now.
I get some of my Japanese fix (well not lately, but when I can again) at two stores. For snacks and stuff, I go to an International food store that has like Asian, European and Mexican foods. Also there's a Japanese Daiso not too far from me. (Which is for those who don't know, is like a store filled with various house hold/dishes/misc and food stuffs from Japan.)

The one thing I remember really strongly about hokkaido food is 1) lavender flavored everything and 2) the milk. the milk is very distinctively rich there.
@Shadami: layer adjustments are fun... i tend to use color dodge, screen, and multiply a lot because it's easy highlights and shadows
