i was on mene but way back in 2007-2009 i think :0 i joined voltra this past may out of nostalgia hehe
if it helps, ohms are our premium currency, crates are the monthly donation item, orbs are random item generators (rigs) that rotate out every few months! starting tomorrow you can click on the blimp on the front page for a daily freebie ^^ the item museum was a helpful thread for me too ... i remember feeling confused when i first joined, do you have any questions??

ah i see , i think i binged some deaf yt at one point a few years back but it doesn't show up regularly in my recommended anymore ... it is cool to see how deaf subculture has evolved :0
it's been interesting for me to see how some vlogs are like very long? like 15-20 min, vs. other videos that aim to be short like 3 minute vids
what kind of travel ones?? is it location specific or is it like this vlogger is a serial traveler?

oh my gosh i wonder if invisible cities is like a very common assignment?? the chance we took the same art class must be low right lol
ahh i guess w hundred years of solitude i saw that it's considered a magic realism classic so i wanted to give it a read!
the world wo us sounds interesting :0 i do wonder that sometimes ... i think my mindset is that humans are just another type of animal and if we disappeared the rest of nature would take back over? what was your takeaway from it??
haha basically one of my friends had everything figured out and i just had to show up lol ... (and take a covid test before i left) i feel really fortunate to be here! i tried to leave sooner than later too in case covid gets worse after the holidays x_x

@hachi: oohh noo i usually just blend manually or w the soft brush :0
yeah honestly i never feel like i know what i'm doing until i finish the piece lmao
i think having both size and opacity pressure on i usually use for details like eyes, nose, and sometimes hair strands? but otherwise for big shading i just use the opacity pressure? :0
i'm taking some process screenshots but i realized it's for the art exchange piece so i guess i can't post them for a while lmao >_>
yeah when i found out how much was edited i was shocked haha!! i guess in my head when i was starting out i thought it was like cheating / misleading ... i was surprised to find out that the editing is sometimes like 90-95% of it ... >_>
oohh does cr have premium shows or anything ? or it's just the ads
i probably could/should be better abt supporting ad rev but i just hate being advertised to T_T

and nw there's never any pressure to reply to my posts tbh lol
and nice that u get the paint amounts right each time :0 i've been using the watercolor pans but i use a ceramic plate as a palette for mixing and stuff! i've been using a mixed media pad and it seems to be holding up ok! i think it's sliightly cheaper too than watercolor paper from my experience ?
i did a bit of watercolor the other day again and i've also been using a white paint pen! i guess ideally i would be able to leave the whites blank but that takes a lot more planning/care lol
it's fun how u can use the water as like... a clipping mask in a way? like you can define the edges w water before u lay down color :0
and lol ty!! i've been practicing a bit :3 i basically only have a mixed media pad rn (instead of a normal big sketchbook) so it's been pushing me to do more painting instead of just drawing! :0
