Humm maybe we should get him gift too since he was so nice. I dont think he liked donuts so maybe something good maybe he will visit more.

Vregory ran away from his assailant, ears perking as he heard shouts of advice for him to confront and beat this mysterious VK, "I don't like fights but... ok."
He skidded to a stop in his tracks, just barely missing being hit by another round of paintballs. Luckily, it seemed that VK wasn't a very good marksman. Standing his ground, Vregory looked over his mysterious masked man, and gave a smile, "Hey."
VK stopped as well, looking around in confusion, "... Hello? Why aren't you running?!" You can hear exasperation in his muffled voice.
"Everyone said to fight you since they say you're a bully."
"I... I'm not a bully! I'm your nemesis and you're supposed to fear me! Start fearing!"
Vregory tapped his chin absentmindedly from the demand, "Is nemesis like a friend? You brought us good gifts, was a good Solstice."
This question was met with the barrel of VK's paintball gun being raised once more, and several red balls of paint were shot at Vreg. In an effort to avoid them, Vregory stepped back, tripping over his own boots and falling onto the dirt ground as the other man began to approach him and...

"Is so dark and... I-I met Eugene when I..."
Vreg started to hear an echoing sound growing near, and lowered his head trying to hide himself more. The sound of a heel impacting a cold hard floor grew louder. Even that seemed very familiar, and Vreg started to feel all the more stressed and small. The step stopped right in front of him, but he didn't dare look up.
"Vregory, what have I told you about sitting on the floor!?" Boomed a distorted, yet familiar voice. Without a thought, Vreg responded.
"M-mam... but is scary."
"Don't be absurd, get up and stop your nonsense. I don't have time for this, come on." As a demanding hand extended towards him, Vreg got up and hesitantly looked up to the figure. It stood tall opposite of him, towering over him as he took the form of the same scared child inside the framed picture. He couldn't make out any features, but was more scared about not following orders. Vreg lifted a trembling hand to reach out for the other's, but before he could make a connection, he jolts back awake, in his own bed.
"...h-huh..." Eugene squeaked and ran to Vreg's shoulder, rubbing his face against his friend's in comfort.
"Eugene I'm so happy you're here..." He looked around to enjoy his comfortable and familiar environment, it seemed not a lot of time had passed, despite feeling like hours. As Vregory took in his surrondings, Eugene squeaked to explain that he was woken up by a concerning shuffle and has sprang to action to wake Vregory up. He succeeded as he found a strange device forcing this dream state, and with his brute rat force, destroyed.
Vregory smiled lazy in comfort as he listened to his friend's story, "Thanks Eugene, it was scary... it was so real and... hummm... I forgot what happened... is ok let's go back to sleep is good since you are here." He settled into his comfy friend, cuddling with his rat protector as he smiled contently, and had a peaceful dream.

@Rallaa: Ok, sounds like good idea.
Vregory goes towards the door, he tries placing the key on the lock and turns it, a sound echoing as it gets unlocked. Vreg starts to turn the knob, but hesitates wondering what comes next and hoping it would all be over.
I hope is something good.
He opens the door slowly and peeks in meanwhile, noticing nothing interesting on the room. In fact, it was completely empty. He walks inside carefully to get a better look, but upon letting go of the door it closes shut behind him. He looks back startled and tries to open it again to no avail.
O-oh... is closed... this is scary I don't like it...
He sits on the floor, hugging his legs for comfort since his rat friend wasn't around.

Ok lemme check. Vregory moves over to the desk drawer, trying to tug it open. It doesn't budge at first, but after a few swift tugs it suddenly flies open with unseen force, emanating a bright light. Blinking to get his sight back, Vregory peers into the drawer, finding a single key. "Oh this looks good." He grabs it, and now has a shiny key.

@priestess of pie: What is this room Vreg? It is your dream after all. Why do you look so sad in the portrait?
"Sad... hummm is hard to remember" He fumbles around, as if looking for something "Oh... Eugene isn't here... when I was little he wasn't here either." Thinks about his own choice of words for a minute, then resumes, looking a little sad himself now. "Is like before... I dont wanna stay here they were mean here."

Yeah is nice. Vregory gently puts it back before walking over the the large curtains, drawing them wide open. Outside is a mass of swirling colours and nothingness, causing the man to tilt his head curiously.
Hummmmm.... That's not normal I think I'm sleeping.

@rallaa: Humm... I see a candle. Vreg walks over to the fireplace, moving to pull the candle... Only for it to lift up into his hand. it seems to be just a decoration.

@rallaa: Oh where'd that come from ok He fiddles with it a little too long before finding the switch, shining it into the empty room.
Humm... It looks familiar I see things I remember. Is a room. He nods, letting you see too. It is a room, with a large portrait on the wall. There are four figures in the painting, but three of them are merely silhouettes. The only one you can see is what appears to be a young Vregory, looking sadder than his usual carefree attitude.
There is also a comfortable looking chair, a desk, a curtained window, an unlit fireplace, potted plants, and a carpet in this room.

This is a lucid nightmare, so is it possible you can force your friend back with your own dream powers?

"Okay let's play this song I know it," Vregory nods in understanding, moving to select the instrumentals. The familiar piano music began to play as Vregory grabbed the microphone, tapping his boot absentmindedly as he waited for the lyrics to show on the screen.
However, when he began to sing he found he wasn't alone, as the entire audience began to join in, growing more passionate as the song went on. This only proved to encourage Vregory further, smiling happily as he sang along with all his friends.
Even if Vregory wasn't the best singer, he was holding his own well, and with the backing vocals of the enthusiastic crowd, the karaoke machine's meter proved he was easily beating this game. Together, Vregory and his crew shouted out the final words, causing the machine to shake before displaying the words "You're a Winner, Rockstar!" before the top opened up, exploding out a rainbow of confetti.
The crowd went wild with applause, cheering on not only Vregory but each other as well. The rat man smiled, nodding, "Was fun who's next?"
