PROMPT: Investigate Concessions Stand
Vreg nods in understanding, beginning to look around. On inspection, it's a cool stand featuring cool little snacks and definitely cool drinks.
Cool, huh?
It's ran by Officer J.C. of the VPD, with help of his daughter Cecelia, "He's stopped me on my goodie hunts before..." Vreg tells you with a nod. You get the feeling there's been a lot of complaints filed against Vreg for digging through trashcans.
You notice a tip jar on the counter, but that money's J.C.'s. It would be a poor choice to steal from a cop.
Otherwise, Vregory finds nothing of interest.

PROMPT: Take Foil
You take a step back as the trash bounces and rattles violently until the dust settles. Vreg's head pops up and he has a half-eaten discarded burger in one hand. Around it is the aluminum from earlier, but unwrapped. Did someone actually throw out a perfectly good burger?
Gained 1 Jack-in-the-Can Burger! Perfectly preserved in the wrapper?
However, Vreg quickly stuffs the entire thing in his mouth. Foil excluded, of course. He learned his lesson early on about eating that.

PROMPT: Talk to J.C. and Cecelia
Vreg says hi and waves a greeting to the burly man in charge of the stand. "Hey there son," he offers a slight smile. "What can I get for you and your friends?"
Vreg seems excited for a moment, but remembers he can't actually afford anything as he rummages through his pockets. He turns them inside out and a lot of curious objects fall out, but none of it currency. During this, you feel as if you're being watched.
Vreg finally just shakes his head. "I'm sorry son," the man frowns. "Well, take care out in the heat. If you do run into some fortune, I'll be here."
"And me too!" The little girl beamed beside him.

PROMPT: Talk to Vivi
Vivienne is unfortunately still combing through the beach for her whistle when Vreg approaches her. Jerking upright, she offers a weary smile. "Oh, Vreg!" Nodding in your direction, she lets out a tired sigh. "I hope you're all having fun! Is there anything I can help you with...?"
It feels like she wants to ask whether Vreg found the whistle or not, but she doesn't want to impose. You might need the whistle for something else, but you could also put her mind at ease.
You give Vivienne the whistle, losing it from your inventory.
"I think I found your treasure," Vreg presents the whistle with natural flourish and she cries out in relief.
"Vreg! You really found it!" She gently takes it from his grasp and sniffles. "Van gave me this after the whole... event," she began to say. "Told me that if I ever get into trouble like that again, I should blow this and she'll come running." She gave it a squeeze with a shake of her head, "Sorry! Anyway, uhm! I found something when I was looking for the whistle that you might like?" She takes a key from the safe confines of her swimsuit to show him.
Vreg accepts the key, "Oh, thank you! I've been collecting these because I'm pretty sure they'll lead to treasure, but I don't remember any good spots being around here. Hmm..."
"Oh yeah, I meant to ask!" Vivi smiled, "Where'd you find this?"
"The whistle? Was in the spot near consu-- consi--- confusion stand. There was other good treasure too, I think I'll go back there or mark it for later. Eugene didn't even know about it!"
Vivi takes a glance down at the whistle in her hand, "What spot?"
Vreg smiles big. "Garbage there is a great spot. Found all sorts of things. Should go back there and collect the rest of the treasures! Maybe before we go back to Voltra. Huh, Eugene?"
The color leaves Vivi's face. "Oh... I-I see! I never would have found it... but now I'm not sure if I'll ever blow on it," she adds quietly.

PROMPT: Take Glint
You nod back to Vreg and feel a blur rush past you. With all the grace of a rhino charging into deep sludge, Vreg dives into the trash and somehow vanishes from your sight even though the garbage can is far smaller than he is.
You remind yourself when he pops back into view that this man is a professional scavenger, and you were wrong to ever doubt his skills. Oh, and the glint was some kind of whistle.

Vreg spots a full can of garbage by the stand and starts sweating profusely. You notice one eye twitch as he glances aside nervously. The shaking of his body intensifies as you approach the trash for a closer look.
Peering down into its dark depths, you spot a suspicious glint. And what appears to be a hefty ball of aluminum with an unfamiliar logo adorning it.
Should he take the glint or the foil? (you can come back if desired)

Taking your advice, Vregory begins to dig up the beach. He starts under the tree, moving to dig where the crab was chilling, before utterly destroying the sandcastle as the bucket watches on.
Utterly covering himself in sand, Vreg smiles dopily up at you, shaking his head as he stands in a deep hole, "I don't think it's here..."
Well, at least we know now!
Return tomorrow for a new location to explore!

Vreg leans in close to get a good look, but the shell suddenly shakes as if alerted. It sprouts a few limbs and regards the dopey-looking human with two twitching antennae. It looks worried and very quickly scuttles off.
