Treat goes to her books and sits down to read them, only to discover that someone else has gotten to them first!

"TRICK!! What did you do to my books?! "
Flipping through the pages of her 3 new books, Treat finds that Trick has taken out some of the words!

"How am I supposed to read these with missing words?!"
Trick says nothing, but smiles and laughs, then floats out of the room. They may not be fighting, but no one said anything about a good ol' fashioned prank!

“Ohhh, this is just a disaster!” Treat stomps her foot on the ground, crossing her arms in a huff. “It’s the same way, every year - this Reaping Ritual is beginning to feel cursed!” She sighs, her momentary outburst settling. “I suppose I should be more considerate, given the circumstances.” She taps her foot, thinking about the events that have transpired. It really is such a tragedy.

"I don’t feel as though I can be of much use to the Voltra Police Department. I’m certain they and the Monster Task Force can handle it on their own. Still…I feel a bit on edge sitting around doing nothing." She catches a glimpse of a crowd nearby. "Ah! I have an idea." She approaches them.

“You there!” They turn their attention to the source of the voice. Citizens of Voltra…some seem to be a part of said Task Force. “You seem like the types who would be willing to entertain–err–enjoy a bit of friendly competition to take your minds off things, right?” She gives a grand gesture, spreading her arms out wide. “How about a little costume contest?” There are murmurs in the crowd, some nodding their heads to her words. “Let’s see…we can play on a little theme. Aha! I have the perfect idea!”

What is the Reaping Ritual?

The Reaping Ritual is Voltra's annual Autumn event! Traditionally, it is when we observe the autumn spirits Trick, a reaper, and Treat, a candy corn witch, exchange gifts and maintain peace between their friendship. It is also when we embrace the spooky season and enjoy all sorts of scares, sweets, and fun costumes.

Of course, an even greater tradition around Voltra is something horrible arriving to ruin everything!

What is the event currency and how do I earn it?

The event currency is dream keys.



You can earn this currency through posting in the forums, or by playing Jigsaw

How long will the event last for?

The event is two weeks long, and activities will end on November 30th. After that, you will have an additional week to collect event currency and buy event items, before they are removed from the shops.

What all is there to do?

There are several activities during this event:

Restless Slumber
Help defeat the Agent of Entropy's curse on Voltra by releasing Voltra's residents from their endless nightmares.
This is a daily challenge, meaning that a new thread will appear every day at 5 pm voltra time.
If you miss out on that day's challenge, you can still participate late, any time while the event is active.
Participation in the game will help unlock new event items in Joyful Jamboree.
It will also grant you one free event item of the day for posting in the thread.

Voltra Defense Centre: Chat and roll to help the Guardians defeat the Agents of Entropy, and win cool prizes!
Perfect Pumpkins: A design contest, create a unique pumpkin to impress Trick and Treat!
Sweet Dreams: An item design contest! Help Vaughn combat these nightmares with an item that promotes sweeter dreams.
Tiny Terrifying Tales: A writing contest. Create a two sentence scary story and tell it to Arika and Berinhard!

Jigsaw && Blackjack
That’s right, Voltra has coded games now!
During the event, Jigsaw will grant you event currency.
The harder the puzzle, the more currency it will reward you.
Note:There is a cap of 1500 currency per day from Jigsaw. Blackjack allows you to collect rewards 5 times.
