@Ruby: I mean I agree with that except the NPC. I don't want to be generic! xD

@Totalanimefan: My week was pretty good, just very dull. Work finally dried up a bit so I've mostly been sitting on my phone at work since mom doesn't want me or grandma to take any extra time off if we can help it. I've been spending as much time out of the house as I can. I went out with a few friends for dinner last night and we ended up all driving over to a cocktail bar and having a drink and chatting for hours. I almost can't remember what introversion is anymore lol! Sounds like a good bit of snow. Hope nothing bad happened with that. The weekend before last we got over 20 inches on Saturday/Sunday and there were so many people in the ditch even on Tuesday (we took a snowday that monday, so we didn't see the car-nage until the next day). One guy even almost went over the side of an exit ramp near the top of it, and the only reason he didn't was because there was a huge snow bank that stopped his truck. Craziness
@Totalanimefan: That's really cool :D I remember one year I went to my aunt and uncle's house for the show and we went to this place that had a lake on either side of the road, and both lakes had fireworks over them. It was awesome :D

@Ruby: Yeah it's just kinda me now xD
@Totalanimefan: Yeah if it had been anywhere else I totally would have gone, but just being at his house coupled with that much alcohol didn't really feel like my kind of thing. That's pretty cool though that you could see them from your house. Here, we have to travel to see any kind of firework show unless we're putting it on ourselves.

@Hardcore Uvula: No problem!
@Totalanimefan: They were pretty good honestly! I probably would have spent NYD with my BNI friends for a NYD party but it was happening at the one person that I don't like in the group's house, and he said he had "two entire pallets of alcohol." He's a miserable drunk so I wanted zero part of that. How did your NYE/NYD end up going? :D

@Hardcore Uvula: Why thank you! @Ruby: did it for me since I'm terrible at that sort of thing lol. Yours is really cool too :)
@Totalanimefan: That sounds really cool! I'll give it a look :) I've heard a lot of great things about that one :)
@Totalanimefan: Yeah I loved it. I actually downloaded the translated manga so far because I enjoyed it so much. I might do some of the other cast members too, just for fun.
That's true. Learning how to do the lines and stuff is how most people start out with art, so copying is what most people start out with.
You can do it! I believe in you guys :D
@Totalanimefan: Thanks! All I can really do is copy stuff, but slightly alter it. Like the mermaid one, I just found a reference picture of one and copied it, but changed a few things. The other one is Amane from Witch Craft Works. But I can't do that digital art stuff, I've tried. It just doesn't feel right when I try, so I just stick to the sketchy pencil/paper stuff :)

Hey, those are awesome goals! You can do it! And yeah I think we'd all love to travel right now if we could, but you're right, focusing on the here and now is a much better plan :) You got this :D
@Totalanimefan: Not really. I'm making a resolution to do more drawing or writing though. I've kinda fallen to the wayside of it so I need to get back on track. I dunno if I showed you the two sketches I made before but I plan on adding more to them. I posted them here and here if you wanted to see them :)

What about you? Any resolutions, wishes, plans?
@Totalanimefan: Completely understandable. I can see both sides of the coin with this, being afraid or uncomfortable with close contact or not caring about the mandates. All in all, I just want it to be over with. I'm glad you're staying safe though, as much as you feel comfortable with :)
@Totalanimefan: Yeah most every place is packed here. For our BNI Christmas Party we ended up walking over to a bar after (since the owner of the building asked us to leave, we went over our time lol) and it was elbow to elbow in there. Bingo at Paradise is even worse most of the time (I've only been once but still). We're pretty much "business-as-usual" here with the exception of locking down if we get Covid, and some random stuff with the schools (which I only know about since a couple of the Magic players in my area are still in highschool). Pretty sure restaurants here aren't doing the "half capacity" or whatever the current regulation is either anymore.
@Totalanimefan: I think it's going to get to a point where no one cares anymore. I've certainly gotten to that point. Most people from Minnesota are absolutely exhausted from Walz making all these mandates and most of us have been ignoring mandates for about a year now.

I don't think we have any more at the moment but it's kind of funny to me to see how much solidarity a state full of mostly rednecks have when they get told what to do.
@Totalanimefan: I'm expecting a "roaring 20s" kind of comeback in 2022. Two years of lockdowns and Covid and I think people will be so tired they're going to get wild.
@Totalanimefan: Yeah I'm just tired of it all. I'm looking forward to this being over.
@Totalanimefan: Doubt it, I really, seriously doubt it. Most of the people know are like, vindicated about Omicron actually, they're running around saying the vaccine was worthless because Omicron reduces it's antibodies. Who the heck would have known that was going to happen? I certainly don't think this is an anti-vaxxer win by any means
