LOL sometimes I look at pokemon and feel like they were really struggling in the design department.

FF12 is a beautiful game with fun characters and an interesting battle system. I wish the plot wasn't as broken as it is because it could have been something amazing. Still, a lot of the world setting is iconic.

Honestly though I never got far in Moon because I was SO BORED. So yeah, I'm feelin' ya.

For Pokemon, while I agree with you, to be fair it has and always will be aimed at children first and foremost because that is their primary demographic. As much as I'd like for them to have a nice meaty story, I don't see it being a priority for them any time soon.

Oddly enough, the final fantasies that have the most broken story lines don't get as much hate as FF8 did at the time.

FF8 was fine (and still a lot of people's favorites) but it was different from FF7 which was a lot of people's first Final Fantasy and I think that confused a lot of people that weren't used to the way Square mixed it up every game.

Here's a pro tip for AOTW: If there's a common you want to use that you wouldn't normally use/don't want to actually buy/a little too expensive, make up the rest of your avi fist, then try it on in the shop. Then just save the preview image. It only works for 1 though since you can only try on one at a time.
