"I understand." Jaden replied.

He then paused for a moment, and thought about something.

"So...." he said.

"When do you want to head to bed?" he asked.

"And is there anything you'd like to do in the meantime?" he asked further.

"TV? Movie? Anything to eat or whatever?" he offered, as they both heard Silver's purr fill the immediate vicinity.

"Hm..." Jaden muttered.

"If you want, I can go back and look for it." he told her.

"See if it's still there." he commented.

"Want me to do that?" he asked.

"If nothing else, you'll have your phone again, potentially?" he added with a shrug.

Jaden just smiled softly.

"I'm glad I'm someone you can trust." he said.

"I realize that, when we met, that was something that was NOT easily earned." he went on.

"But the fact that I earned it, and have retained it, is an honour." he continued.

"Why didn't you call?" he then asked.

"I know you have another phone." he went on.

"Or... did something happen to THAT one as well?" he asked her.

"And I'm sorry..." Jaden then said.

"It seemed like you had been waiting there for a while." he commented.

"I'm sorry you had to do that." he continued.

He was then silent for a moment, and sighed quietly.

"I suppose Rene should check you as well, make sure you didn't catch anything from being out there." he suggested.

"And maybe get Silver to a vet for a checkup." he then added.

Jaden nodded.

"I agree." he said.

"ASAP." he told her.

He then sighed, and shook his head.

"Desiree..." he then said.

"You're safe here." he told her.

"Remember that." he went on.

"No matter what, you're safe here."

Jaden's first reaction was to blush a little when he saw that her top was undone.

His second (and quick) reaction was to shake it off and notice her bruises.

"....those don't look good..." he commented.

"Like... at all." he said.

"Maybe we should get Rene to look at them." he suggested.

"When are he and Kalin due back from Vacation, anyway...?" he then wondered aloud.

Jaden accepted the headphones, and nodded.

He then gave her a thumbs-up, and they parted ways.

He made his way to the den where he sat the headphones down in the middle of the coffee table in the center of the den. She'd be able to see them there easily.

He then went to the kitchen, grabbed the sushi in the fridge, and decided to eat.

He was hungry, and it was best to eat it as quickly as possible... for several reasons.

Just as she approached the bathroom, Jaden stepped out.

"PJs and towels are in there." he told her.

"Same stuff applies." he went on.

"Use anything in there, tub or shower is your choice, blah blah blah." he said.

"You keeping the headphones in there again?" he asked.

"Or want to have them somewhere... well... drier?" he asked further.

Jaden had left to get done what he said, and Silver looked up at Desiree when she asked her question.

He responded with a growl.

But it was a low and quiet one. Not one that denoted anger or danger. More... annoyance. It was pretty much his way of saying 'No... but you have to go anyway, don't you?'

He wouldn't let her go of his own accord, but wouldn't fight her if she chose to go.

"All right." Jaden replied.

"I'll grab towels and PJs." he told her.

"And then I'll put them in the bathroom." he went on.

"If you like, I'll keep Silver company as well while you bathe." he went on, before thinking.

"But if I recall correctly, he doesn't mind water..." he then said further.

"So he may join you." he chuckled.

"....oh...." Jaden muttered.

"Crap. Right. Forgot about that." he admitted.

"Well, there's always here." he said.

"And there always will be." he assured her.

"Hm." he then mumbled.

"I still have the PJs that you used last time you were here." he told her.

"I'll get them for you." he said.

"You want to take a bath or shower?" he then offered.

Jaden nodded.

"I... I understand." he said.

"I'll do whatever I can to help." he told her.

"Just let me know when you feel you want to get some sleep." he went on.

"I can go to bed anytime, really." he added with a small shrug.

And just as he finished that, Silver yawned.

".....really." Jaden responded.

"I see." he said.

"I...." he stammered.

"Hm. Well... I..." he muttered further, his face turning a bit red now.

"MY bed IS... a king-size...." he went on.

"If you want, you can sleep under the covers, and I can sleep on them." he suggested.

"If it'll help to... like... have another body or something..." he added, face still turning redder and redder.

Jaden narrowed his eyes for a moment, and then sighed.

"Yeah, sure." he said.

"Again, feel free to stay here as long as you like." he told her.

"This place is... well... pretty big." he commented.

"Honestly... felt a bit empty without you here..." he then admitted.

"But... uh... yeah, right, anyway." he added quickly.

"I assume you'll probably call this an early night?" he asked her.
