Sadly my area has a bunch of morons who've been doing big parties, and making our covid updates spike in the 10k. Breaking new records every day. So 4th of July is kind of pissing me off.
I did watch Hamilton last night on Disney+. Which I really enjoyed. It definitely makes our founding fathers seem less awful.

i live in nyc and cases have been pretty low / under control for a while now
but i know it's been going in the exact opposite direction in a lot of areas so i would be super frustrated too :-/

oo yeah broadway tickets are super expensive, it would be cool for them to be more accessible

From what I've read, Broadway is closed for the rest of the year. Which is very responsible of them to do.

that's good, both for public health but also probably financially better for them anyway
it must be so expensive to produce the shows - like paying performers, tech, venue, etc. i doubt they would be able to make a return this year

@Totalanimefan: there seems to be some of that going around today - I was tired earlier and thinking about a nap and I've seen a few other people mention the same kind of thing.
@Wildfire: Lol they created the US true, but they were human and flawed. Slave owning, sexist, cheating, surpressing freedom of speech ass holes.
The musical does mention all of that awful stuff, but in a way that's funny rather than upsetting.
@Another Movie Addict: As you said - they were human. You can't rightly judge them by today's standards. Judge them instead against the standards of their time and you'll realize they were way ahead of the status quo in a lot of ways for that time.
