@Ruby: well, going home to a cool house is subjective. it's not miserable in comparison to the grandparent's- they have their ac at 83, and it's 82 out right now, so...it was a hot day. It's at least 79
Oh man, yeah, that's just ridiculous! there's no reason for it to be that expensive! that's so gross! Yeah, my sister is in an income based apartment and before her baby daddy moved in her rent was like 275 with utilities included. and that was for a 2 bed 1 bath apartment. and she's on disability. I don't know how nursing homes expect anyone to be able to afford that on a fixed income.
